If you don't wanna loose players which don't wanna play this lag simulator any more...disable fishing temporarily...

Disconnect everyone after 90sec of AFK, or send them back to the character selection screen.
Also, make this procedure impossible to cancel, we don't want a new proxy that would do it for us, do we?

you don't target the actual bots with your method, they don't auto-fish but are manually fishing and playing this mini game. You don't need proxy for auto-fising, do you?

Just remove gold from fishes and make fishes only sell able at the fish monger
With a limit of 30 fishes per day
This nerf fish bots Alot and all legit fisher still get some gold
So ya +1 for removing gold from fishes

No thanks, keep fishing and just fix the lag, actually enjoying the fishing and guardians as side activities.
Since BGs don't pop don't reduce enjoyable and profitable content please. Open world content already got heavily nerfed when outlaw was removed, making the game more of a dungeon grinder, no need to make it worse.
As people start going out those bots are going to be very useful to simulate open world activity.

Just get rid of fishing altogether. It's bad enough already how TT is skyrocketing to 1500 then in few days 1750 from excessive gold into the economy. Soon I see no point in farming gold regular way anymore, instead just swiping my credit card. These fishb0tters are even selling gold for very cheap half price on discord and these people that buy them don't even get banned.

Well, I'm not using any proxy so I do not know how it works or what a proxy user doing to cheat for gold, my bad, sry.

fishing itself is easy ot fix, if there is an exit point for all the items it generates or you make it require participation in active content

the game is seriously lacking in exit points for a lot of items to be flushed out of the economy
enchanting by itself is not good enough, since you have the option ot swipe for it
the only good solution for fishing would be revising its drop tables so it can get better stuff out of it but said items have no market value directly
ie: having dro pstuff like repair mats/feedstocks but as a whole reduce the value of the fishes outside of being used for crafting
if you really want ot keep fishes as a soruce of gold than make them only sellable ot the monger, but enchance it so there a broader limit for the legit fishers.

Exploits are here to stay. You all had multiple chances to stop the scripting problem, I myself made 2 topics about this all you did was meme and whiteknight, it's fair to say that you all should ... shut the *sunshine and rainbows* up? Deal with it and that should be the end of discussion, if some cheat so can I and many others, it's only fair and just, eye for an eye.
Regarding the lag problem you just want the side effect of the script to go away the lag/delay but it is not caused by this, it's most likely due to the very high number of players and the incapability of the servers to properly compute all the information that is being fed to them.

It clearly wasn't because of a high number of players. Since patch I didnt experience any lag or high latency and I doubt player numbers dropped drastically. Before patch the problems occured in the morning or afternoon too, when the peak of players wasn't reached. So I guess it was a software bug fixed with the patch and had nothing to do with servers.

I agree with skaild because it was still lagging at 5-6 in the morning when barely anyone was still around.
