Desired Slayer Changes

  • 2: mightaswell go the valk route and give OHS a garanteed reset mechanic in other relevant skills

    This should apply to every skill with random % chance of cooldown reset. It's so stupid that a player's DPS is reliant on a pure random factor (and I know crits are RNG too but at least you can influence those with higher crit factor).

    Yes.

    If our new buff "Strong Blade" could buff the the Crit rate OR the Crit Resist Factor of the Boss Monster based on Physical Amp, I think that could fix a lot.


    And yes, the Overhandstrike should be fixed. It's only 5% instead of 10%.

  • my idea would be just buffing some of skills crit chance or give savage strike on top of always all hits are back hit, crit factor/crit chance buff (similair to warrior one but on a duration very similair to valk gungir bite) this would be better than just shredding boss crit resist (which would be actually HUGE of a buff aka asking too much) maybe reduce ohs base cooldown too

  • first issue : base crit rate having 400 cf and still have a white punishing blow is mega depressing

    400cf and you can't even reach 70% crit rate on over hand strike

    second issue : over hand strike resets it's mega punishing if over hand strike doesn't reset and you don't have any filler up it's a super dps lose (warrior got rain of blows to compensate the bd not reseting)

    third issue : our main buff is 1:30 cooldown which is really long cd slayer should be a steriod class like we only gain dps on enrages having 1:30 cooldown on buff makes so much hard to connect in cold blood with second tank enrage/ healer buff which makes us lose alot of dps so lowering cooldown to 1:10 would be a really nice buff

  • Hello, can we actually take a moment and talk about, how this class needs to get buffed ? Honestly, we are struggling with this class in DPS rankings compared to other classes for years, is there even a chance we will get heard ?


    I have talked with multiple slayers trough slayer discord, which has atm 7 000+ members,


    the buffs we require is:


    Fix the 10% chance of getting 100% damage proc on OHS


    Reduce ICB cooldown from 1:30 to 1:10, so it has same duration as warriors deadly gamble (the class is stronger than slayer and yet it has lower cooldown on the burst skill)


    Fix the base crit chance on OHS since this skill is the biggest core skill of the slayer


    lower cooldown of OHS to 3 seconds instead of 4 seconds, because once again, its the biggest core skill of slayer class and if we doesnt get OHS reset, it really can mess our rotations and DPS so lowering the cooldown would help


    make overpower apply the effect on both hits of whirlwind

  • these are actually the best fixes we can get ! they ain't making the class broken but will make the class fine , these changes should've be done when they removed Double cd from weapon and icb chest roll as they did for warrior , and the only class that get affected with high crit resist is slayer cuz our base crit rate is low imagine geting white damage on 15 sec cooldown skill !! like warr/valks on all these new instances they still don't even invest anything to crit and they manage to get 100% crit rate on core skills

  • Reducing ICB cooldown may be a problem in pvp, it's too big a buff, if anything increase warrior's cooldown.

    Im talking here about DPS rankings, but apparently you dont do PVE if you write comments about PVP, Idk if you ever did mass pvp with slayers, but his skill damage scales insanely with the amount of ppl he hits and if you didnt notice, slayer got nerfed in PVP already and PVE playerbase is way bigger than the PVP one, so please leave out comments regarding PVP and let slayer be finally relevant when it comes to PVE

    for people who think slayer isn't weak enough to be buffed here is a lader for the new instances imagine playing very well and having literally the best slayer gear in all regions and geting rank #30 50# 77# #44 and the second slayer is #77 in dps lader like it's literally unplayable rn for people who has average gears

  • are we going to neglect the fact that slayer class DOES NOT use any type of <A.I.> programs to adjust-correct or enchant their rotation-gamestyle?
    that players actually spend ALOT of TIME and EFFORT in the crab room working on a NON-fixed rotation because core skill is rng factored while others simply enjoy their game?

    and when and if you manage to master it you get to the point where even with bis gear you must persuade (beg) others that you are a not top-not second but a relevant dps so they can accept you in a party?

    and speaking of gear you add more factors while for slayers even the basic ones are not enough cause class needs p.amp to be relevant. cause class needs power tbr. cause class needs crit x2 tbr cause class needs pcp (see the loop?) tbr so you end up underpowered or undercrit etc.

    majority understands all theese cause they know the demotivating attitude gameforge has against slayers (mostly) and i dissagree with shiro its not patch 98 its been like this for a long time just that current patch (fanuw) brought finally problems to surface!


    so bottom line gameforge RESCPECT demanding classes like slayer as much as you respect mainstream ones RESPECT slayer players (few left anyway) and stop giving us a placebo type buff once per year or at least rename it to something like fool with a big chunk of iron party carried so others know what to expect before trying slayer.

  • I agree that slayer is a bit on the strong side and should be adjusted. I'd start by limiting the apex swoosh to 1, doing it twice seems like too much. Also they seem to be spamming that vertical hit too often, perhaps cooldown on it would be good idea.

    Here are the main burn buffs with a mystic

    Lancers: 97s
    Brawlers: 60-80s cd (varies cause cd reduce effects)
    Mystic: 49.5s
    Gunners: 72.8s
    Slayers: 72.8s
    Archer: 72.8s
    Reaper: 72.8s
    Sorc: 73.8s

    Warriors: 68s

    I'd much rather vouch to redesign and standardise the burn buff's cooldown and then retune classes from there

    as for Slayer, I really do question the current state of Overpower and the need to give "dmg" via the 15 OHS stacks
    you have so many effects of +buff% they kinda diminish itself

    Yea you need to spend at least 10 million gold for each piece to have perfect stats to just be relevant in dps, you cant have 400+ power and 300+ crit rate and 130k+ p. amp unless you have perfect gear with a lot of crit/power plus at least IV relic/halidom, when other classes can do same damage with inferior gear cause they can just stack power and never give a fk about crit rate


    This class has been cursed since the beginning , was only decent with vm4 came out and it got nerfed to the ground in no time

    buffing dmg is pointless if you're gonna still have 56% crit rate on overhand strike and 60% on whirlwind (even overpower apply on both hits) and some white punishing blows with 400 cf (which is absolutely garbage ! like why would we even need 400 cf to start with and guess what it's not enough ) and if they have to buff pve damage i guess they need to massivly buff it to see some good numbers on 300 crit resist bosses ! which will affect so much low crit resist dungeons like aq/bahaar/hagufna in my opinion fixing the class issues will solve alot of problems than direct buff to damage

    plus it kinda ignores hoe OHS works in burns...the best help slayer cna get is a fix on ICb's Cooldown + the bug fix to the advance.
