so i came back few weeks ago and i've seen a lot of people saying the lv 69 gear is kinda p2w but... why do people say that? i've checked the shop and you cant buy the gear there... i mean you can buy materials to enhance the gear but is that the only reason why people say p2w? is it really that hard to get materials that the only option is buying from the tera shop?

Feedstock requires a few weeks of openworld mobs grinding that only respawn like once a hour and the whole server is farming them.
Improved Feedstock (required after +10) is basically Cash-Shop-only (extremly limited ingame-wise)
Repair Mats = openworld mobs grind aswell.
So either you farm the mobs that everyone farms for a few weeks or months or you just p2w all mats which is much faster and less time consuming of course.
Overall, yes without cashing yourself (or buying the mats from people that cashed before) its pretty much impossible to gear up.

Selling materials in rng boxes is more p2w than than just selling +15 gear, on average forcing your way through multiple stages of rng will cost you way more than just buying +15 would. This is why they sell you chance to obtain something instead of straight up selling you that something. It's like if you went to buy milk in store but instead of milk you got 5% chance every time you pay.
This is also way to mask total cost that ull end up spending in the end, each purchase seems small and you often dont keep track of all of them. if they just put +15 gear in store for 500 euro each piece it might produce headlines, but if you keep making small purchases and in the end spend 1000 euro nobody will even know.

This is just one part of the bigger problem. You need few mil for a good rolled superior gear. Very limited feedstock and the repairs mats don't forget that... As a free player good luck farming that because you spend more time doing that than actually playing the game. I haven't mentioned the 2.0 crit mount, maxed talyph cost and rng p2w pet. This patch is just good for to clear the new content with minimal gear then log off.

The game just got worse and worse with every update I suggest for your own good to look for ANY other game.

getting +15 just by grinding will take you few months, when this gear will be irrelevant.
