Patch 86 overview

  • Greetings TERA team,


    I will start by thanking the team for organizing this thread, where we can share our ideas about the game. This post is coming not only from me, but from a couple of friends I play with daily.


    The difficulty / Average duration of fight


    I will be honest about this, and it has been mentioned before. TERA is getting extremely stale at the moment, as the content that can be farmed is of average difficulty at best. The gear carry is something more and more painful, as you don't need to particularly learn any mechanics (or very few) in the available dungeons, due to being able to facetank everything. Also, the content is more vast than before, but the reward for all contents except the endgame dungeon doesn't make it worth for farming, hence you can only find lfg's for AQ these days (very rarely GVH/DFH for people that still need Jewelry, and have to suffer through the pain of 2hour lfg's).


    >Increase difficulty of all HM dungeons, and the rewards accordingly;

    >Add Jewelry mats to AQ;

    >Buff drop rate of blue items in AQ OR give us more loot, dungeon feels really useless at the moment;

    >Decrease coin cost for lower tier dungeons, such as GVH/DFH, to make people feel more motivated to clear them;


    When looking at the average duration of a fight, most content can be cleared in max 2min30-3min with HO+3 (not AQ, as it is the endgame dungeon and the only optimised dungeon for new gear).

    As a hardcore pve player, I would like to see more longer fights in dungeons, with hard-hitting bosses and challenging mechanics (example. Bahaar when introduced). A dungeon that can have any amount of bosses, but make me feel like I need to think ahead of my game.


    >Make endgame dungeons more challenging, while still updating the already existing dungeons to a new standard of play (HM dungeons only)


    Farming in Exodor


    I personally like this type of farming, as it offers a break from the mundane dungeon farming. It's chill, and it can feel rewarding at times. However, the drop rates from the exodor boss chests are nothing short of a joke, as you need to unbox thousands of chests to even have a small chance of getting a golden item.


    >Buff rates of gold item drops from chests;

    >Add additional fodder gear that can drop with chance from boss.


    Ghilie / Pit of Petrax


    They have been for a long time a daily farm activity for most players, however lately the reward is lacking so much that it makes it not worth even entering (despite moving the TP close to boss, ty Gameforge) Pit of Petrax is a bit better,

    however, the entry cost of 80 coins is too much, in a patch where you are required 385 coins for a single run in AQ.


    >Buff Ghilie loot (maybe bring back strong bravery while you are at it, a consumable essential for so many classes);

    >Ghilie still drops extremely outdated mats that nobody will ever need to use, due to the questing giving you free FM+0 gear.


  • adding jewerly mats ot AQ contradicts what you are trynig ot achieve with the rest of the runs


    just make AQ THE run you do for gearing/enchanting the new sets by giving proper drop rates and having it drop feedstocks aswell, dont muddle its loot table with stuff you can get elsewhere, otherwise you just remove any motivation for ppl to do that specific run, only added lloot you coudl actually dd ot AQ would be the generic value loot you get everywhere else, like jewels




    if htis is not an option give use the EU specific tools we have right now; the marks of valor, and add a exodor specific enchanting box(for a reasonable price, it should be a direct comparable with the master enchant chest in value per token).


    as for difficulty..just saying runs like LK, RR, TR, SS should jsut be flat out replaced with their hard modes to at least try ot keep up with gear creep(while mantaining costs and approriate loot tables).

  • Hi, don't know where to post it since eveyone seem to create a thread for the same things, anyway here's my feedback about patch 86 :


    Let's start by the good point :

    Exodor is beautifull, and mobs are not recycled.


    Now the rest : why can't we fuc.king fly without having to resort to a TC potion that only last 10 min ?

    You want us to spend no more than 20 min on TERA per day ? Well play, believe me, it's working.


    New mobs aggro from too far, have way too much HP (you want evey healer to quit the game ?) and never loot anything.

    I've seen tokens that you can trade for mask and belt but, with this droprate, it's just useless to even try if you don't have a Korean friend that can farm for you while you're sleeping, sorry that some ppl have a job and can't play 24h/24 every day for 1 token every week.


    New gear is a joke, why the fck is there even a possiblilty to have wrong top line on every weapon ? why can cloth armors be physical when there's 0 physical cloth class ? Too much RNG in stats and enchanting.


    New dungeon is 100% recycled, just with inflated HP and droprate is awfull (only seen 1 gold gear in 33 runs, sorry can't run more cause half my guild left game since this cancer patch)


    New daylies are a nightmare to do, you have to talk to 2 NPC before even starting to kill the mobs needed for quest, kill them and go back to said NPC. All that for 2 feedstock in 2 hours, pointless ;(.


    Fishing : nice to have new places where you can't even go without TC and can't fish without new credits from cancer daylies, pointless..


    Well thank you for this trash patch, don't wonder why noone is playing your pale BDO ersatz when the most fun activity is afk fishing.


    PS : I don't understand what is earning Bluehole/ Krafton by trying so hard to destroy my favorite game, I'll never play any game developed by them if I stop playing TERA.
