Change to Apex quest line

Hi

Please help if you can. I am begging you. I levelled a character to 65 yesterday and started the NEW quest chain you get marked in purple that I trust leads to the banquet quest. Previously I would do the Isle quests and upgrade gear and then at the Guardian Quest thing I would simply enchant the gear to 439

and then get the quest for the Apex skills..... Didn't happen.

All I got is this purple quest to go help Launa and her annoying Guardian Quest. I say annoying cus I am a Mystic, level 65 without Apex and I am dropped in Bleak Rock watching snow. So having never done Guardian Mission I just click a few of those symbols, enter a fight with Level 69s and die over and over and over. I manage 8% contribution and get nothing. Eventually after a day of running around and getting my backside smacked to death I have gotten one Vanguard Reward but no Guardian Mission quest rewards. And there is never one in Bleak Rock.

I have hit a dead end. I have no idea how I am to do a Guardian Quets Reward. I have no idea why they got rid of the item level Apex quest line. I am totally baffled as to how I now progress. I used up all my mats upgrading my gear to 439 and it was pointless.

One other thing and that is the original quest you get now at 65 gives absolutely no information on where you are to go. It gives a map but makes no reference to the Echo dungeon. Its sad really cus I have seen player after player just standing around in Bleak Rock today and we are all lost as to what to do. Who ever changed this has made it so hard for anyone to get past 65. I mean for a new player there is absolutely zero information on what a Guardian quest is. What level you are supposed to do which ones. How often they start and what exactly you are supposed to do to get a reward.

I don't want to do Guardian Quests THEY DON'T GIVE ANY XP. You only start getting XP once you get APEX. This is bonkers. Or seems so.

Anyway hope I missed something. I am seriously sick of running around and getting no where today. Why they changed it I will never know. The lady that you meet at 65 just says get to gear level 439 which is what I did. Useless bit of information that turned out to be.

I did the first two but the third didn't happen. So what do I do ?

I was doing all these Guardian things all day and getting nowhere cus I am a Mystic level 65 no Apex skills and feather duster popping level 68 BAMS. Anyway what I hadn't noticed was there is a claim button on the end of that bar. I now have four rewards but have had to give up and ditch the character, probably delete it to be honest. I have another 69 and a 66 so thats that.

Just that they changed the Apex quest thing so you are FORCED to do these purple quests. The next one wants me to do Lilith solo as a Mystic at 65 with zero fire power. I can't even get past the horse. I just run around and around waiting for the Wrath then get swamped with fire elementals and die. I am hopeless. Strange thing is I can do the Apex quest line no problem. But I can't do the horse in Lilith till I get Apex.

I have no idea how many more of these purple quests there are but having levelled my gear to the required level and then not got the Velika quest I guess that is that then. Saves me having to struggle with level 65 to 70. I will recycle the character and level from 1 to 65 when I'm bored and forget this nonsense. Basically cus I can't so it anyway. Seems they are dead set on making it as hard as possible to get from 65 to 70. As if it wasn't hard enough.

Sad really deleting a character but I gotta play something for my money.

I decided to grin and bear the grind to 70 as I was paying the Tera club for the month and I just do the daily quests in the morning and I am currently 69.56

100 - 43.84 = 56.16% of Level 69. As you can see I get around 2.7% per day with 20 days left.

In my spare time I have levelled two more Mystics. One to 66 and this one to 65. But I can't get past this new quest system so I will delete the character and start from 1 again. Just till my sub runs out. I can't get into Classic at the mo anyway cus of queues.

PS I love Mystic, or did. Was truly wonderful until 65 then it just goes down the drain. It did use to be fun doing the Apex quest chain but I can't get to that now. Only takes a day or so to get to 65.

I have no idea what I can do to improve my skills. I play every day for hours and that is solo. I make no apology for that as I have been playing on and off since the beginning of 2013. I love Mystic and enjoy very much the style of play. Well did. Sadly with Apex I have but two major hitters, the Wrath and the Bouncy Castle. I have the Wrath glyphed as far as I can and still on 1.5 minute cooldown. I have no issue killing anything generally. Takes about ten seconds but then I wait 1.5 minutes to get the Wrath back. I could run around like a headless chicken for 1.5 minutes and pea shoot stuff till the Wrath comes back but whats the point.

The bouncy castle has no skill level as mobs will not play kind and stay in the circle. I try and hold but even if one escapes I still have to track it down. The Wrath is bonkers stupid as it hardly ever hits anything intentionally and will not hit anything that is flying or on an incline like say 45 degrees. It frustrates me the most. Worst is that if it doesn't complete the kill and you fire it up somewhere else it will simply wander off and try to find the mob it didn't kill. The Prot is useless. Like I say no problems killing stuff just need less than a 1.5 minute coold down.

The throwing balls at stuff is pointless. Have you tried killing the hyenas or goblins.. they just wont stand still and with limited holding skills I am always just running about. And the balls for me never do any damage. Ever.

The problem probably is my limited gear level and skill level as I do not do dungeons. Not interested. I am nearly 70 now and still plodding on. I do 2.7% xp per day and I will get there in 14 days. I do read what people say but sorry I tried everything but it don't work. The mystic is easy to play but slow on the cooldown.

I'm not sure what your problem is but you come off as one of these people that just take swipes at folk to get some false sense of superiority. I have to eat a bit of humble pie here cus I was so angry at levelling up my gear thinking I would automatically be put in the Apex chain I came here and moaned and I should have waited a bit. I now have levelled three characters through the new system and whilst finding it tricky have now become more skilled at the various challenges. I have never done Guardian Missions cus I never felt I could contribute. I still don't think I contribute at like 0.7% but what I did discover is that just pea shooting at the targets fills my bar and I get the four required in no time at all. I did not enjoy them and still think they are pointless to me. I just can't do any damage.

As to Lilith and the horse.. man I hate that thing. Basically cus I spend most of my time running around waiting for the Wrath to come back up.... but I struggled and timed my runs and worked out that I do need to kill the adds first and then I get some clear space to do some damage. The spider thing is easy as is Lilith. Just wish they wouldn't bother with the silly animations of her attack. There isn't anything hard in any of the Apex quest. The dragons are just a waiting game as I wait for the Wrath. To kill a dragon I send in the Prot, dot him, freeze him send in the Wrath and like magic he is dead. That is the same with every single target in the game of a given health level. But if it evades the Wrath I am running around for 1.5 minutes or less. Like I say not hard just slow.

I have 8 chars now with Apex and one sitting ready to have another go. I will probably clear that character tomorrow. So starting to get to be an expert. I just wish that when they change things they would explain so I didn't waste all the mats upgrading the gear without the award scrolls you get for completing the quests. But I learn.... Its actually quite fun now the Apex quest line and enjoying it. So there you go.
