Tokens getting deleted without any warning prior.

  • I don't normally complain in forum, but today I'm making an exception.


    Are you guys actually making fun of people?

    You decide to delete tokens, that are still able to be used to buy things without any warning whatsoever?

    And to the people that contact support you answer with "you were warned" when the only notification of said tokens being deleted was given today, day 23, 1 day after the maintenance?


    As you can see in the picture, the only mention of these tokens being deleted, was 5 hours ago, which means it was made at 1 PM on the 23rd of August. No other mention of said deletion prior to this.


    Is there gonna be a reimbursement for this lack of communication with the community? I know some people that had 300/400 Classic Thalers, to save up bank space which simply lost everything, because you didn't even say "oh yeah, we are gonna delete these tokens".


    This is just 1 more big ass mess to add onto the guild name mess.....

  • Isn't it like that in 90% of the cases, someone complains gets "oh sorry but nothing we can do about it"... These are just tokens that didn't really need to be deleted would be nice if people that lost them now could get a compensation in a form of other tokens that give the same thing or something...

    some prior notice would've been nice, as has always been the case - in the maintenance announcement BEFORE it happens. (and no, editing the post after maintenance doesnt count)

  • Ahh, so that's what happened...I was looking for my 43 Classic Thaler everywhere, I saved them on my mystel priest to be able to use the "Lucky Charm" title on my other chars too on Killian after the merge....

    So funny that the other title " Time Traveler" was not removed from my bank, thus I was able to use it with another char after the merge....


    Tbh, I didn't even see any warning about the deletion of these tokens, if I knew, I had bought something for sure before the merge :cursing:


    PS: I have sent a ticket about the issue before I found this thread, wonder what the answer will be...:rolleyes:

  • Should have used them sooner... well too late I guess.

    That doesn't matter, it is a smart thing to save them up. At least notify when they do get removed so people who stacked them can use them. The worst part is getting a reply "You've been warned" as if the one sending them a complaint about this is the one wrong. While in this case it is a fact that Gameforge was wrong on this by notifying one day later AFTER the maintenance.


    Telo has a good point and it just is really bad that he is being blamed for this mistake while in no way it was any of his fault, neither of any of the other people who have also lost their tokens.

  • I had 1090 saved Classic Thalers haHAA, but yeah nothing much surprising from Gameforge afterall, they mess up something and the only answer I got from the support is they won't offer any kind of compensation for this.


    What a magnificent joke ain't it?


    Just gonna keep spamming the support until they get bored I guess or until Gameforge decides to do something about that second fail they got after the merge-maintenance.

  • Did anyone get their tokens reimbursed? I lost a lot of tokens too and I'm just wondering if I should even try to get justice.


    Anyway, if anyone from GF is even reading this. You know, you have to announce something like this in time, like 1 week ahead minimum. Because I was on vacation last week, I didn't even know merge was happening either since you only gave out a two day warning, I couldn't manage my bank and characters and I came back home to a literal mess. I don't know how your business policies even allow treating your customers like this.


    And then for classic thaler not even announcing 2 days prior but the day after. Why did those bother you? You know we earned them in classic, and they were untradeable, why did you take something I earned away from me without any sort of warning or reimbursement after? I just want to know if you can get the damn approval to even answer me.

  • Remember that Gameforge posted the server merge faq 2 WHOLE DAYS before the actual merge - some newer players that didn't know how Gameforge works discovered they were about to lose half of their characters after the merge - unless they went to purchase extra characters slots right away.


    They're just plain dishonest people, and you know what the biggest joke was ?
