Except for those 2 rare Dragonette pets I have, there is no way I will combine them.
A pet can't be a partner only the 4 new one. You can get gold Partner by combining 2 normal pets. I first made 2 pets lvl 10, I fed them with crafting materials which I don't need anymore. Then I combined them and got a partner. If you get a good one, promote this one with the other low tier partner.
Did the same thing as you yesterday. Combined 6 pets. 2 partners were common with no skills but ialso got 1 yellow partner with auto-pot skill which seems pretty good.
When you promote it with other partners im guessing it keeps it rarity level? But what about the skills of the partner you sacrifice do they disappear?

Why do people need that much Pet slots? 10 are enough. Old Pets are useless once you have servant and you can transfer all abilites to servants.
Also Anniversary Fishing Event gives Pet Slot Coupon. (400 Tokens and yo get on avg 55 Tokens per day) So you can get up to 3 x 5 Slots for free.

Well, i was hoping they actually will improve pet animations and stuf like that with this addition. It turns out, they are basically inmobile pieces of pixels with terrible animations. Sorry, but the whole purpose for me is not only their utility but also the feel that i have an actual pet lol, that moves, do things, jumps, i dunno. I am not even going to bother with any of em lol.
sadly if you wanna stay on top of your game as a dps/tank ... you cant ignore them x(
mostly because they turned these partners into 2nd Brooches

Well all those problems are fair to complain about for sure .
But just wait till you try to raise the fellowship in your parter and you ll really understand how p2w this system is.
I mean it seems unfair to the heavy p2w players .... for normal players forget about it.
I have lvl8 partner and the fellowship is only lvl 15.
Most ppl dont understand this because its smth new thats why they dont complain.
Let me give an example how difficult it is.
Level 44 fellowship gives 22 power while lvl 50 fellowship gives almost double which is 40 power.
You consider yourself extremely lucky if u have smth close to lvl 30 fellowship;
The game went off the rails completely on min-maxing . ITs almost impossible now to have perfect stats.
You know .. relics ... merge gear... now this crap.
I know im abit offtopic since its not about the pet slots but trust me you ll understand me soon.

so if your partner is grade 10 u dont have any chance to "reroll" fellowship again?

How marvellous, you can't put your pets in skill bar anymore, you have to open crappy menu for whatever you want to do with your pet.
This is utter crap.
You can add them fron Option>Shortcut.
In the lower end of the list thete is: "summon pet 1" "summon pet 2" etc...

Make sure you train your main partner before you combine any of ur pets.
Transfer all the good skills from pets to ur partner first. This way you wont lose those skills.

Yeah my mistake was transferring a few skills to the free partner then later getting a superior one. Since you cant transfer skills from partner to partner

Maybe transfer the ability back to a pet first, then add it to the new partner, no idea if it works at all, was just an idea ;D
