A mysterious floating island has appeared, bringing with it infernal horrors. Are you the heroes to defend Arborea against this unknown enemy?
Patch 80 is in the starting blocks and comes with various expansions to existing systems. The increased maximum level of 70, skill improvements, new equipment, and much more: in this preview, we provide a brief overview of the most important changes (please note that some names are not final).

Scheduled Patch 80 release date is on Thursday, March 28th.

    Into the Unknown

The road to level 70 offers new challenges and leads you on the trail of a terrible threat: the floating island of Exodor brings destruction and sinister new enemies to the world.

Face these dreadful enemies in familiar regions of Arborea that have been devastated and altered by Exodor’s appearance, and find out what terrible disaster has befallen the airships of the federation.

    Collecting Experience Points

The road to the new maximum level is a journey that will extend over several days and weeks, lasting considerably longer than the comparatively quick climb for experienced players to level 65. The new BAMs in the devastated areas, for example, are good for gaining experience points and more loot.

Methods of obtaining experience points include:

    • Defeating boss monsters in instances
    • Hunting BAMs in the open world
    • Gathering and crafting
    • Fishing

    Skill Advancement

Along with the new character level, there are new skills for each class that you can improve or customize. At level 66, skill advancement is unlocked for your character and you will collect your first Skill Advancement XP, which can be obtained through different activities such as hunting the new BAMs or completing dungeons.

You will receive one SP (Skill Advancement Point) per SP level, which you can use to improve a skill.

Each class has a total of 3 skills that can be upgraded (level 66, 68, 70). In addition, each of them has two skills, for which you can choose one of three specializations (level 67, 69).

New Equipment Slots and Effect Transfer

Patch 80 opens up two new equipment slots: Relic and Halidom! You will obtain the first pieces of equipment for these slots from quests at level 66.

You can even improve both of them with a bit of gold and other Halidoms and Relics, which can be obtained from dungeons.

In addition, patch 80 allows you to transfer effects from unneeded gear to other equipment. The item with the desired effect is consumed in this procedure and two of its effects are transferred to the target equipment at random.

If you want other effects, you can try again any time. This allows you to further optimize your main gear.

    Weekly Access System for Dungeons

Currently, dungeons are limited to a daily number of entries per dungeon. Patch 80 removes these restrictions and replaces them with a limit of 40 entries per week.

Each dungeon entry now uses Adventurer Coins, which regenerate automatically – regardless of whether you are online or offline.

Instead of the current doubled individual entries per day, TERA Club members will receive 80 weekly entries as well as an increased maximum number and increased regeneration rate of Adventurer Coins.

Please note: Existing Instance Reset Scrolls will become ineffective with this patch. Any remaining scrolls can be exchanged for gold or new Adventurer Coins.
