Lag lag and more lag. Event server is the definition of LAG

    I forgot to mention as my thread got merged but my ping spikes are unrelated to classic but to Mystel.


    Though I suggest people to report their latency issue as I have met alot of people in game suffering from it.

    recently got upgraded to a 600mbps connection, ping on live went down to 20-30, on classic i spike to 150-250 frequently, so teleport sometimes just refuses to work
    idk if it's garbage routing or whatever, but dying because your iframe straight up shat itself is never fun

    ping universally goes full 'tard after 10PM

    bandwith has nothing to do with ping. You can even get low ping with just mobile internet aka 64kbs.


    Why do people get more bandwith .. I think to download faster?

    To download faster or to share with many people. I never managed to make QOS work regarding download but only supposedly prioritize traffic. Maybe with ddwrt/tomato is possible.

    Although on the other hand I could restrict upload.

    If you have 50mbps net and 2 people use netflix they will spike you whether you like it or not.

    So ye, speed won't affect latency unless he had shit net or non fibre before.

    Some countries have good internet infrastructure with competive pricing and offer high bandwidth for low price. You can't even get 10mbps over here anymore..

    I have 400mbps and we live with alot of people in the house. Used to have 100mbps but our provider kept upgrading it and it wasn't enough when alot of ppl would watch videos or dl stuff through steam/ps4.

    Ping is the time it takes for one car to arrive from point A to point B and back to point A.


    "Speed" aka bandwidth is... err like the name says, the width of the road, or how many cars you can fit at one time. The wider it is, the more cars you can fit and thus they can carry much more baggage (data). It still takes them time to reach point B, same amount of time.

    At one scenario there was even another Laptop connected to the internet and there were no problems whatsoever (until someone started a download ofc).

    I think you are confusing Mbps with MBps.

    You probably don't even have 10mbps but around 80/100mbps because that's what i had 15 years ago through adsl. Sure good luck watching 1 youtube video on 1080p and slowing down the whole internet :lol:

    bump because the shit just hit the fan, now idk what zancara forwarded but its almost like the IT guys at gemeforge went and downgraded the servers because its so much worse today than yesterday before maintenance


    3v3 is a joke because of the lag, you might as well just remove the bg if you dont intend to fix the lag and spare us the disappointment

    people are moonwalking and desyncing to the point where its not even funny

    or at least remove the time restrictions so we arent forced to queue when the lag is at its worst


    its really hard for me to express myself without a condesending, negative or just generally hateful tone towards gameforge because this event has been nothing but disappointment

    the idea was really cool and thats about it

    but when you tell people to come play and relive the past and give people so much hope only to shit down their throats like this... it reminds me why i left

    honestly if you fix the lag issue and have the servers made permanent i dont think i would play any other game ever.... but the way things look right now is very dire


    or did u guys actually use the same dusty servers from 2013 that had the similar night lag issues that would drive people crazy, for the sake of an authentic classic experience

    Its like if the animations perform one second after you press the button. The inventory opens one second after i press the inventory button, and so on. It only happens maybe 2 or 3 days a week, in a 3-4 hours period. But when it happens, oh man, its just unplayable.


    And yes, i posted this "complain" ages ago, and nobody did care, so i just forgot about it , like many many many many other issues that sadly will never get fixed. Or improved.


    And if people keep buying (well money whales and rich kids, because smart players i dont think they actually invest actual money in this game) elin outfits without reason and buying everything BF throws af em, without thinking well, and worrying about important things first, things will never improve, pretty the opposite (in fact what is happening since a long time ago).

    It's hit or miss because some people don't have issues at all but many of my friends have ping spikes on Mystel and we can't do runs then. On NA i have stable 95-100ms ping and no spikes from 17ms to 200-250ms.

    People with higher ping will even dc or just get stuck few seconds and party get wiped especially when they play tank/healer.

    Btw I have totally stable < 30ms ping on Yurian but on Visionmaker (classic server) it is quite unstable with average around 150ms.


    Ping usually is depending on your laction and the server's location but in case of the classic server the hamster seems not to run fast enough in his wheel :)

    I don't know about mystel but killian is fine while classic is not for everyone I talked to. If you have problems on live servers, better check via winmtr to find out what is going on cause it may be a routing issue.
