Thoughts on Ninjas in PvE and PvP?

  • Hey everyone!


    Since I can't find many posts about them - anyone who's playing Ninja in Endgame right now?


    I only hear about Ninjas being nerved - can they still do well, and if not, is there any hope of them getting better in near future? For example is there hope for the lvl 70 patch?


    It feels like you're doing your burst, and spend the rest of the fight dodging and waiting for your burst to go off CD...


    Regarding PvP, everyone seems to play them completely differently - and other than that, I don't see that many of them in PvP at all, or at least, not within the top-pvp players...



    As reference, I'm a Ninja on Yurian, Gearscore 456, PvP Full Retribution +6/+5/+5/+5.

  • Pve: right now really bad

    Prolly bottom with slayer


    As u said, the biggest problem is the high cd


    And ninja is pretty much useless without burst

    It takes to long to push enrage

    So it's even bad for your party in general


    almost every boss dies by far to fast.

    Just look at warri gunner or archer

    They are able to burst 2 times (sometimes even 3 times) in 1 fight

    Meanwhile ninja is able to burst once

    And their burst is almost as high as Ninjas..


    If I could

    I would reroll

    Because after lv 70 they get a huge buff but it's still useless.


    Idk about pvp

    But as far as I know

    They really annoying and strong

    Alot of combos for kd's and stagger

  • That sounds terrible.


    Guess I'll have to settle for bottom tier together with slayers, since rerolling isn't in it for me - I simply enjoy the class too much to do that.


    But honestly, it's just really dissapointing how some classes do so much more dps, and some other classes, like Ninja (or poor Slayer, like wtf, this has gone on an on for ages!) only get nerved more and more.


    We even got nerved in the last pvp update

    which other classes were as well, but I had at least hoped Ninja were nice to play in ONE of the categories -pvp/pve that is.


    Or, other than that, I could hope for it getting better after a patch - but seems like there isn't much hope.

    Regarding the fight duration, yes, absolutely, a second burst changes so, so much.

  • High CD class are just shit

    That's the biggest problem

    Even with lv 70 patch and huge burning heart buff (that's absolutely insane this buff)

    The biggest problem is still here


    Oh and ninja is kinda bugged since tera time potion doesn't work on it c: (that's because focus and Tera time use the same buff ID)


    Pvp:

    They had to nerf it

    Ninja was broke as hell in pvp

    Right now ninja need a lot of skill for pvp

    But if u manage to do it

    They are amazing in 1v1 pvp

  • Tera Time doesn't work on Ninjas? Whut.


    That's news to me, but I can't say I use TT a lot....


    So basically I can just sell every TT I get because it doesn't work?


    Or does in only work sometimes/to some extend?

    It works but doesn't stack with focus

    So you get 2,5% more skill damage


    Maybe they fixed it with patch 2 day ago where they changed CD back from 1h to 30min

  • Seems like Patch 80 won't save us either.

    Did someone look at the Class Balancing notes? The only DD class not even mentioned is Ninja...

  • Gear buff: (ninja is as far as I know the last class in tera who still have to stack full crit, means those new rings are amazing)

    Ninja get a huge buff with lv 70 since we can basically go full power (maybe 4/5 power set up gonna try as soon as I get 70 and next patch (81) with new rings hits eu


    Skill buffs useless:

    Our talyph stuff ist bad aswell

    Impact bomb damage or sleep impact bomb???

    Or more chi reg.

    Since we have by far enough chi

    The only good things are crit stuff


    I still hope they reduce burning heart CD from 16s to 8s (so 1s CD per hit)

    Then ninja would be on top again

    Reaper is broke, this class is just retarded and ninja can't even get close to this retarded broke class

    Burning Heart CD reducement would be awesome :elin9:


    No idea who thought Impact Bomb would need sleep or more damage...

    But my personal favorite is still the decreased-movementspeed-debuff Impact Bomb - doesn't even work on BAMs xD

  • Yes but like -

    You can choose between Fire Avalance, Fire Avalance, (which you use like 2 or 1 times in the whole fight...) and a buff for close-range skills - wouldn't you be standing a bit farther because of burning heart after attunement?

    Like, I can use attunement and then doublecut/whatever, but I'd miss the attunement-glyph?


    All of these 3 options for attunement seem weird to me...

  • Melee 10% skill damage is perma, not just after attunemenet as far as i know

    well, prolly we gonna use 10% crit chance for burning heart, so we can stack more power owo

    those skills get perma 10% damage buff (if you use this yph ofc) BUT you get 500 OVERTIME after using Attunement not like now 500 chi instantly but not sure
    we have to see

  • Should be translation error, correct tooltips are supposed to be this:


    Avalanche = 500 Chi recovery and increases Fire Avalanche damage by 15% for 10s


    Burning = 500 Chi recovery and increases burning heart crit rate by 10% for 10s


    Lightning = 500 Chi recovery and increases the dmg of Double Cut, Skyfall, Circle of Steel and Quick Attack by 10% for 10s



    (But just gonna mention that some of these things might not work as intended :^) Might be possible that one of these talyphs affects more or less skills than its supposed to do xD the bluehole special Kappa)

    I.e > stack 500 Chi > get 500 chi instant for using Atunement > 1000 Chi > Use BH > during shooting BH you regenerate 50 Chi per second so u may shoot more projectile before you are out of Chi.

    Sounds plausible, if it works you should be able to hit 2 more projectiles ca (since the casting time with att gliph is 3s~ you should recover 150/200 chi)
