Current version: unknown and launcher crash on exit

    I mean, come on.


    This is the second time i suffer this problem and it starts to be REALLY annoying to the point im starting to think on quitting Tera for good. Everytime this happens, i need to reinstall the fuck1n whole game to fix it. About almost 2 hours installing.


    When the hell is this going to be fixed?? im not the only one who suffer from this by time to time.


    Odd enough, i replaced the version file for the one i backed up time ago and it didnt work. So the only solution is to waste another 2 hours installing the whole game.


    The other one "problem" i was having since i started playing a year and a half ago was the every time i close the game, and the launcher it gives me an error message. This is not so problematic but well, its a bit annoying as well.


    Please team, stop wasting so much time releasing dumb content and forgettable elin outfits and start actually improving the game. And specially the launcher..

    Today happened again. So, im gonna quit for now. I dont have more patience for this. Will come in a few months to see if they actually improved important aspects of the game, instead of doing the opposite all the time. My only regret is to actually used real money and support em for almost a year.... but as with everything, you gotta learn.

    Yday happened with me too.

    I reinstalled Tera 3times cuz right after the fresh install it kept doing. Today morning i could login without any problem, i just hope it wont happen again.


    Sent a support ticket with an error log but since GF's support dont work at the weekends, i dont expect anything from them.

    Me and some friend got same error yesterday, reinstall or anything doesn't help, something wrong with the launcher. Please fix this as soon as possible.

    Im sorry but i already tried to contact in two ocassions, and they sent me to the Q&A in the first page. Oh well. And again, i tried evrything mentioned in there (and as always, oh surprise it doesnt work), and i ALWAYS end up reinstalling because there is no other way. It didnt happen again since a week ago, so fingers crossed but i dont think i can endure it again. I usually dont have more than 3-4 hours every one or two days to play, and yup, its pretty irritating when it happens and i need to waste those hours to just re-install the whole game. Knowing its going to happen again...


    If it happens again, im afraid i will just quit Tera and find something else.

    this somewhy works on another problem i got with patch 80 with the .exe becoming "not responding" and taking ages to launch while using constant 100% hdd and the whole system hangs and freezes at times, eventually when it launched it was very unstable with loading times through the roof i thought it was some engine setting files leftover from classic causing conflicts but completely deleting the game and redownloading didnt fix this, everything worked fine in classic server and on live servers pre 80 patch, id post the event log but both the console and the txt it writes to refresh everytime the launcher closes, but on the console i saw it promt some corrupt files but didnt see what else was going on with it since it whizzed past so fast and closed along with the launcher. could be my hdd but not so sure since redownloading should place the files in sectors that arent bad.



    This basically just alleviates the symptoms but doesnt cure, deleted the game again and this time just got the steam version, same problem with this one aswell but thistime deleting the file doesnt prompt a patch but instead leaves the launcher without a patch bar and a Play button and only way to continue is to do a steam file check that takes as long as the launcher one or place the file back. Note NA version that is pre patch 80 works fine aswell as the EU version that was pre 80
