But do I need to create an account before on "the latest version" ? Should I create on steam or regular account?
You're tera account is for both classic and normal servers, just create an account on the tera site and you are set.
exactly as ellira said, make an account and you can use it for normal and classic.
The difference will be the client only.
Here you can download the normal one. Basically you can just start playing the normal Tera without have to play the classic before.
