Is there a fixed % chance of critical success on crafting or it depends on what you craft?
Also, items like Pumpkin Pie that increases chance by 10%, does it apply absolutely or relatively? e.g. if the base chance is 10% adding a relative 10% would only increase it by a mere 1%.

5% base + 10% Pie so you end up with only 5,5%. Only the additives gives +20% (additive V) on top. So you have 25% (25,5% with pie)
and thats why those multiplicative boosts are ridiculously useless, same as with the previous crafting. i wouldnt be surprised if .5 actually gets rounded down so it doesnt increase at all lol.
It seems to depend on the profession. For me, Etching crits 15-25% of the time but the rest are nearer the 5% mentioned above.

Remember that crafting is like gambling...sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not, sometimes you just get average results.
I had very lucky days with nearly 1/3 crit chance and very unlucky ones with like 20% or less crit chance.
Ive had 18,92% crit rate on diamonds w/ food and reagents V in 111 tries = 21 crits; 6,64% on sapphires>emeralds just on food(256 tries), so its kind of inconsistent.
