start gathering from channel 10 because... ive noticed most of the time there aren't nodes from channel 3-1... sometimes...
What i do is... while half way through gathering the node, change channel, so by the time its done gathering, the channel switches immediately.
Just tried the plain stone route tonight, tried several channel and went up and down that route, it's not really any better than farming ores randomly. Plain stones appear at around 20/25% rate in ore nodes, all the nodes you pointed in the map were ore nodes, and only a few of them were plain stone nodes.
I think really it's just random and any ore route is fine.
