Get the calendar gift on an alt account and use it on a random character there and see what happens. Could do it on your own account too if you have a spare slot for a throwaway character to test it and a spare random dye. Best way to confirm imo.
Description says it will pick a random (hate that word) color from a palette, I just got to know before risking:
Does it allow me to revert back to the hair's original color for free or I am "trapped" with the new random hair color until I change it again with an appearance changer voucher?
Since I just "tested" it on my priest:
=> you choose a hair color you want and press "Go"
=> some slot machine appears
=> you mostly won't get the color you wanted
=> ofc you're stuck with the new hair color unless you buy a new dye (which is about ~7k on Yurian, but it adds up of course, but no appearance change voucher needed)
Result: My priest now has awful blue hair, not even the one I wanted. RNG sucks.

Wait...what was the point of choosing the color you want if it's RNG anyway? :doofy:
Once you use the hairstyle item from the calendar you get to see which colors you can get and you can preview them with by left- clicking one. I guess that is what Aeq means.
The actual choosing only takes place when you have a "Meruma Dream" item, where the previewable colors each have a black circle in the top right corner which gets ticked once you choose (right- click) the color.
When you right- click the colors on the calendar item, nothing happens.
Meruma's Magic items are always rng, while Meruma's Dream let the player pick what they want. Just a general clarification in case this gets asked too.
