Worth coming back after long absence?

1. Imo the alive word can mean a lot of things, its only depend on the individual preferences.

2. Everyone able to dungeons. But low lvl dungs queue time can be ridiculous.

3. As in every game mostly the toxic players whom have attention grabbing problems so you can see a lot of them on social medias

4.Ofc there is an elitist section, but mostly they are unethical players so just leave them alone.

5.That only depend on you. Since the new gear progression exist you need to play and earn item xp. So if you can play a lot you can reach smth till next update which will be around October if i am right.

2. Yes but most of the pve endgame is done by statics and elitist guilds
3. yes it is, especially with all these cheater proxy kiddos playing the game, they had no (or sad) childhood so they have to live it out cheating in tera
4. Elitism is bigger than ever, thanks to DPS meters, moongourd.com and in-game rankings
5. You do have a chance but you'll have to do hardcore (~4-5 hours a day) grinding for at least 3 months, and that's just +9 SC, not even the best-in-slot. No idea when's the update, though.

Hi, im new player to Tera as well, but i can tell you some things relying on my experience playing mmorpgs for 10 years now.

a) the game of course is still alive. As new player i noticed that maybe the population is a bit low, but the game seems pretty "alive".
b) as i noticed, dungeons are basically reserved to high level players, like in almost any other mmorpg, and as almost like in any other mmorpg, you will gain access to more and more dungeons as you level up. As the other guy said i noticed that queuing for low level dungeons sometimes its a pain. I myself got stuck in the main story line for 2 days with a character because i couldnt get to do the bastion of lok queue. The instance matching was endless. But i guess its different for high level dungeons (i hope).
c) the community of almost every single mmorpg that actually bothers to use the general chat is always toxic. You cant avoid that, not in Tera not in almost any other mmorpg. It is how it is. If you want to avoid it, dont use general chat or use private (again, as any other mmorpg).
d) If you say that you get bored or that you think the game is dying, why the rush to level up and gain exp? thats something i never understood in mmorpgs. The fastest you level up, the fastest you do everything, the worst it is. Just focus on having fun, not on gaining exp at all costs, its an advise....

4. depends a lot on the server I would say. On yurian there are elitist people but you won't meet them often since they are pretty much in their own world. if you ask for help you have 50/50 chance to find a genuine helpful person or a troll.

I onced took a break and now I’m happy that I’m back in The game again. It’s worth!

The server killian for example is very active on both pve and pve.

There are always some toxic players, BUT there are also many nice funny players there

One thing that might help ur comeback is to get a nice guild.
