Smart Overview about Priest Skills and Chains

  • Still under construction!

Let's take a look at Dedicated Vigor!

As you can see, Dedicated Vigor can be triggered by Regeneration Circle, Healing Circle and Holy Burst!
There's also an Ehanced Dedicated Vigor which can be triggerd in 2 ways:
-Use Holy Burst while Words of Judgement is activated, no need for Dedicated Vigor. Will instantly aplly enhanced version
-Use Holy Burst and hit a player with [b]Dedicated Vigor Buff.
This Buff can be applied by Healing Circle, Regeneration Circle and by Holy Burst itself described in the picture above

Remember, that only Restorative Burst and Holy Burst can be used to heal at this point!
You can also heal by using Shocking Implosion!

In order to support your party the most, you should keep Words of Judgement and Words of Vitality on CD.

Allways Charge 3 times before releasing except you have to dodge sth. Partymembers need to be in range while charging!

Now, there has been a nerf on the common heal skills like Focus Heal and others. There are some ways to get more CDR on skills:

You can also increase the amount of heal of your Healing Circle by doing this:

If your party is low life, but splitted you can pull them and heal them with Healing Circle. The good thing about this: After you pulled them, your party will be invincible for 2.5 sec.
    Can save lifes!

    So far :elin25:

  • There are a couple of things to add to this:

Enhanced Dedicated Vigor (Blessing of Sanctuary) doesn't care where the Dedicated Vigor originates from, meaning you can proc the enhanced effect by using Holy Burst (Holy Brilliance) after Regeneration Circle and/or Healing Circle.
I highly recommend this since the hitreg of Holy Burst can be weird sometimes, which will to lead cases, where it doesn't apply Dedicated Vigor and thus not being able to apply Enhanced Dedicated Vigor with the explosion.

During Words of Judgement (Invocation of Judgement) Shocking Implosion and Final Reprisal get additional effects.
Shocking Implosion will heal yourself and your allies for every hit on the boss - important since Heal Thyself is disabled.
Final Reprisal replenishes MP to your allies - wouldn't really recommend using this since you are better off spamming Words of Vitality, Holy Burst and Zenobia's Vortex during this time.

Words of Vitality (Innervate) values are different in game:
Instant: 12 Power, 0.14 Crit Power
    1. Charge: 13 Power, 0.16 Crit Power
    2. Charge: 14 Power, 0.18 Crit Power
    3. Charge: 15 Power, 0.2 Crit Power
Also keep in mind you have to hit all your party members with the skill while charging up otherwise they won't be eligible to receive the actual buff.

  • Ok first of all: You're right according to Blessing I and II.
I tried that with a partymate and discovered sth. You have to use Invocation of Judgement once to get that working.
If I relog and try that without activating it once Sanctuary I only gets refreshed.
Pls try this to confirm if I'm right.

Words of Judgement will be tested again!

Btw: Sry I refered to essentialmana patchnotes and it seems the spellnames are different than from our english client.
If you want, pls post a list of correct names :)

  • If you use words of vitality but cancel it with fiery escape or backstep you keep the movement speed + won't go cooldown. A nice way to get max movement speed for 10 seconds and heals for the party (if you're willing to sacrifice one of your movement skills). ^^

  • That's true, it gives good buffs but I tend to wait a bit if we're about to hit enrage so I can do it twice in one enrage. So before that I just use it for healing + moving around. Just my personal preference that might not worth it. x)

Works fine for me even after i started the game without using any other skill...but...it seems to have problems with height differences...if you tried this in highwatch..this might be the problem...in dungeons it should work

  • awsome work @Jixxy !

  • Hm... Words of Judgement is clearly designed along the idea of "Priest should pop it, then go in and start DPSing." Because if you do, you will keep restoring mana and health to your group, while also doing damage. So far, so good.

Problem is, compared to the whole, priest dps values are rather... "meh", at best. Especially when you aren't wearing any dps/crit power gear and crystals. Accordingly, I wonder if its really super useful to have your party's heal running around dangerously close to the boss, frantically spamming skills only to get... what, an added overall 10-15% dps contribution from him, maybe?

So, question: Apart from that, is here any other benefit to keeping Words of Judgement going for its whole duration on your priest, rather than immediately switching it off again to get your standard heal set back? After all, the other party members will keep the WoJ buff either way, regardless of whether the priest has switched it off for himself again.

About the only thing I can spot is that you can fire Vortex more often thanks to the CD reduction, thus shaving off a couple more seconds of CD time from WoJ for the next time.

  • Yes, you can cancel it imediatelly. If there is no reason for doing that, maybe because boss is doing lame stuff, you can keep it and do your rotation:

Holy Burst --> Shocking Implosion ---> Zenobias Vortex ---> Holy Burst...
Between that, you use your Words of Vitality on CD and use your Restorative Burst to keep on Healing better.
    Means:
    1. You don't have to stand near boss unless using Words of Vitality for Buff
    2. Normally the party healing works way better in WoJ cause of Holy Burst Spam
    3. Just cancel WoJ it you have trouble healing yourself!

    My opinion
    :elin5:

    Sigv2.png

  • Does Implosion have THAT much range during WoJ? Like,10m and more?
Meaning you can spam it from a "normal" priest distance then?
Because as soon as you run closer than that...

Point being, WoJ is built to allow you to dps harder and faster while somewhat doing your mana/heal job "on the side."
But at the same time you "pay" for it by:

    • taking damage from the boss' attacks (keep in mind that as a heal, you will dps from the side of the boss, WoJ is even built to allow you to do just that)
    • having reduced heal output
    • having reduced heal options
    • having significantly less overview (hard to keep people's health bars on screen)
    • no Kaia

So I wonder what kind of actual benefits you get during "WoJ mode" apart from the "fun" to hurt the boss.

  • Yes Implosion has a huge range. Just try it.

    1. You still are allowed to dodge and use Restorative Burst
    2. Your Healoutput is reduced, but your CD on Holy Burst ist that low, normally you don't have problems healing
    3. Yes...
    4. If you lock at your party window constantly while spaming your rotation only thing to do left is to watch the boss
    5. Yes...

Yes, spamming the skills and not cancelling WoJ is only for an increase of fun. Your dps is not that high unless you try using dmg crystals!
You decide what you do :)

    4. If you lock at your party window constantly while spaming your rotation only thing to do left is to watch the boss

    Hm, gotta try that.

As for 4... not really. The party window hp/mp bars occasionally update with a significant delay (at least mine do, despite having a great ping here). Can be half a second or more. That can often be the difference between life and death for an unskilled dps.
