Priest soloq games

  • Old videos (when I came back to Tera after a break). A lot of terrible mistakes.... but I decided to make those videos public again anyway, because I want soloq quality to improve. Might record new videos in near future.

PS: Ignore guild/party chat... A lot of stuff there was said in heat of the moment. I dont even remember what I wrote 8 months ago...

There is also a guide I started last summer but never finished... And I will probably never finish it...

  • Priest 3v3 guide - based on outdated Emar guide (2013) and Flanberry guide (2013)

    Skills:

    • Healing and escape skills are pretty self-explanatory, so not much needs to be said about those. At least not in general use, but there are a few neat tricks and tips that are situational that I'll get into later (if I ever finish this guide).
    • Purifying Circle (also known as cleanse) also seems self-explanatory, but I would like to add that you should spam this skill a lot. Typically, if you see a purple health bar and you don't need to heal or do something that will assist in a kill right away, you should cleanse. If your team is about to kill the enemy, it's vital to cleanse as many debuffs as you can. There are few debuffs that cannot be cleansed. The important ones to remember are:
      • Curse of Confusion skill from a mystic (also known as fear)
      • Fearsome Shout skill from a berserker (also known as fear)
      • Inescapable Doom skill from a berserker
      • Plague of Exhaustion skill from a priest
      • Chained Leash skill from a lancer (also known as giga leash) – It's worth mentioning that if properly executed, giga always leads into a combo of stuns and damage. Try not to get caught in the giga with your team, so you can cleanse them out of it. Remember to cleanse after giga debuff has already expired.

Other skills that cannot be cleansed:

      • Restraining Arrow skill from an archer
      • Menacing Wave skill from a lancer
      • Burning Breath skill from a sorcerer
      • Curse of Exhaustion skill from a mystic
      • Contagion skill from a mystic

Priest can not be knocked down or staggered while casting Purifying Circle.

    • Divine Intervention (missing)
    • Kaia's Shield is exactly what the name suggests. A shield that you should use to save someone that you don't think that you can heal in time with just a heal skill. It can be also used for the same reason on yourself because it applies slightly faster than Self Heal. It also protects you from being staggered and knocked down while the shield holds. The final hit that breaks the shield also does not stagger or knock down. The stagger or knock down protection can also be used on your team if they are close to a kill or to protect them from being interrupted with staggers. It can also be used to counter knock down chain (more later if I ever finish this guide), if skills like Arise and Divine Intervention are not available.
    • Divine Respite is your oh shit button. It will keep you alive very well, unless the enemy healer dispell you. Keep in mind that Divine Respite is also affected by healing debuff skills and if you apply it while a healing debuff is on you it will heal for a reduced amount for the entire duration (even if you cleanse healing debuff later). You should use Divine Respite when Self Heal is on cooldown already and you still need heals to recover from enemy pressure. You can also use it ahead of time if you know that you are about to be bursted.
    • Arise is one of the most important skills today and often the only way to counter new classes. This skill is the reason why a priest is more forgiving than mystic when playing with uncoordinated teams. Just by casting Arise on time, you can prevent the enemy to one-shot your teammember that was caught in knock down chain. Also in situation where your team member is in the middle of a knock up combo, it's better to use Arise (usually) before healing skill. There are two reasons for this: You will probably stop knock up combo entirely and you won't have trouble locking healing skill on your teammate. It's worth mentioning that in most cases you shouldn't use Arise instantly. Why? Because most players tend to bind Retaliate onspacebar and if you arise someone who's trying to Retaliate, they will probably spacebar and jump up into the air, only to get knocked down again for jumping.
    • Energy Stars should be used every time you get a chance and your teammates will become a lot deadlier. I recommend using it on any target that's in range and either stunned, knocked down, knocked up or too distracted to iframe it.
    • Plague of Exhaustion is best used to remove Kaia's Shield from enemy team or to remove huge buff skills like reaper Shadow Reaping, valkyrie Ragnarok,... If you can get only one or two targets with this skill, make sure that the targeted player won't be able to iframe it. Against mystic teams it can be used to remove the thrall endurance buff. You should at least land Plague on the target that your team expects to kill.
    • Ishara's Lullaby (also known as sleep) can be used to turn a 3v3 match into 2v3 for a little while, if you use it when it's likely to not be broken or cleansed. Sleeping an enemy has a very high priority if it looks like your team is about to do a lot of damage or if the enemy is already low on health.

(Thats all I have so far... Maybe this summer I will write more about an actual gameplay.)
