Its a permanent 1.5 passive Dragon.

Wasn't the best type a 2.0 one ?
-
Yes, 2.0 is the best one available.
-
...so no chance to farm it in game without buying with gold from someone else.
Okay ty. -

Okay ty.I think the 2.0 one has a very low chance to drop in S4 of HH. I myself never saw one there and don't know a personally that saw one drop.

Well anyway, I made a few calcs just for the fun of it.
444 days of farming (not counting dungeon drops) for the not-even-best Dragon in game.
-
Why did you exclude dungeon drops?
That's theoretically 16 / day. I don't think anyone is sane enough for farm all that for a dragon. xd -
Oh okay, so 16 Dragon Scales from Dungeons(At approximately 15-20 minutes per dungeon = 240 minutes), plus 0,9 scales from Island of Dawn(8 minutes) =
23,66 Days
Of playing about 4 hours / day, for a total of 97,79 hours of playtime.
With Vanguards Tokens only it's 444,44 days for 8 minutes a day for a total of 59,26 hours of playtime.

Dragon Scales can be obtained from tier 4 and 5 dungeons[1] as Vanguard rewards - 1 per quest. Certain battlegrounds - Corsairs' and Fraywind[2] - also give a Scale - 1 per Vanguard quest. And there's the tiresome IoD BAM farm[3] as well.
You also get Scales from Harrowhold but it's a waste of time if done via LFG. There was that poor BAM hunting "event" which was also giving Scales in bulk. All in all, unless the only thing one does is IoD BAMs, then a free permanent 1.5 crit passive dragon will eventually be earned within a reasonable period of time without much extra effort by doing a variety of in-game activities, including 1. PvE group activities, 2. PvP group activities, as well 3. PvE solo activities. In the meantime the weekend Astral Gifts event gives a 4-8-day dragon, which becomes useless once you've earned a permanent one but no-one to tell that to, as @Atmorph and @Athena don't care.
