DSU EXTREME

  • Congratz on showing everyone why mass testing wasn't a thing in the past and won't likely ever will be one again, thanks to you :)

  • Prove: Do not stream content from the Testserver (Source: Discord Testserver, RULES)

I guess publishing a guide - especially with videos - might violate the rules or at least the derivations you can get from this rule.

  • there is an inherent difference between streaming and gif's.
Obviously no gif required the testserver and if that is what bothers you I can swap them entirely with gifs from older contents that are a couple years old. Furthermore I remember that we are free to 'discuss anything as long we do not stream'.- based on this I decided to write it. Additionally I would not have needed to be part of the actual few people that put in effort in giving feedback, in order to know about the changed things because almost everyone discussed them freely. Hence this guide which actually allows newer players to attempt DSU. Anyone seeking a spoilerfree experience wouldn't read a guide anyway right?

  • This is why we can't have nice things. People want the attention so much they will even kill the "element of surprise" of checking new mechanics without seeing them beforehand.

  • Working against the rules seems legit.
    Especially for further content Tests.
Gf wont work again with the com bcs clever ppl cant read the rules before they Start thinking/Writing :borg:

  • Did you even figure out the mechanics urself or did u just take credit for the other ppls work (who actually IMPROVED the dungeon and sent screenshots of how the mechanics work)? My party was given minimal tips on how the mechanics worked and figured it out, that’s what they wanted to test, how long it takes to figure it out. I realise u spent time writing this but tbh I didnt see any of u take part in discussions on the discord nor help anyone, still u ruin the work that wasnt supposed to be shared (if u had taken part in discussions u would have known).

I'm just gonna edit this post here since I dont care to reason:
No one but high/top tier players will be running this dungeon either way, and they don't need a guide, so releasing one for just the high tier players to be able to clear faster feels, to me, really unnecessary. My pt who even had a gunner ( MarkBlax) who had never done Manaya before and were still able to clear her within 3-4 hours without having any clue of the mechanics at first. And one more point I had in mind. Lets say you're stuck on manaya, you have no clue what's going on with the mechanics but you see that there's a guide! Do you continue suffering (try to learn the mechanics properly) or do you do it the easy way and just straight up read them? Of course it's the comfortable way of going about things, but when it's all explained in perfect detail for a boss we've all most likely done a 100 times already, come on dude. Most of the clearing parties in the discord already discussed the difficulty of the bosses and came to a conclusion of them being very simple once you learn the mechanics, so, easy boss we've all done before + mechanics that you get for free in a cheesy guide = why the fk was this extreme dungeon even released in the first place.. but that's just my opinion.

  • "Allows new players to experience DSU" better give them spoon fed stuff then. New players won't attempt it because 1)they have no gear. 2) if they do they most likely will end up trying with friends/guilds.

If you wanted the attention of being a tester so much, you could have just said so, instead of going against the rules or even stealing a spot from a party that would actually test the content and not leech stuff from the real testers and use it for their own guides, like kyanara said.

  • I dont even know if im allowed to tell you based on what you think the rules are.

If you have followed the chat be aware that my discord name does not mach with my Forum name. @Kyanara Yeah we figured it out ourselves day 1 testing after about 15 minutes. We improved our strategy on the next day to reduce deaths and yeah. I didnt copy anyones work. Im really glad the specific person that had this idea asked for it to be implemented.

Btw i am the person that posted screenshots of how it works in discord.
Also im one of the verrrrrry few to excessively test dsu.

Edited once, last by Shashlik ().

  • Everyone knows what the top PvE players desire is content thats new and figure it out themself. Godbless we have a guide now so we dont need that! Saving lotsa time.

  • Then mr.genius, how come u missed out on the part of ''dont stream'' (aka dont share shit from a fking TEST SERVER)?

Only ones I saw posting ss in discord were Carben, Miriam and Eri, so gonna guess u're one of them then (:

  • you dont need to read it tho. Its just like ktera where no one forces you to look up whats new y'know.

@Kyanara theres a difference in 'streaming'(forbidden, also was written in the context of the last public test where streaming was allowed) and sharing info(btw allowed) and yes I'm Eri.

Question: If I released it on wednesday with gifs from live, no no one wouldve bat an eye right?

  • Well thanks for your work on the guide and all that stuff, but you could have wait a few days.
Now it's the same we have everytime. Guides to spoil us, what is happening and what's new.

Yeah, we don't have to read it, but everyone's talking about it now.

You could have wait 2 more days and then published it.

  • Technically they didn't sign a NDA, but it was strongly advised to not share everything. The only thing missing is the loot table I suppose....

He didn't break any rules in a direct, but more in an indirect way. But since he has shown that the community does exploit the loose rules and won't act like decent people I expect that there won't be such a testing event anymore.

This will result in either the lack of future extreme modes because they can't be tested realistically with the lack of input or in really unbalanced extreme modes.

On way or another, this move from Shashlik was wrong on mulitple levels but I guess he got what he wanted in the first place: ATTENTION.

  • Mods were actually deleting leaked info from their public discord server and you though a guide would be fine? Wow ^^
