RK9 Extreme Mode ?

    Elemental Essence


    The most exclusive item that you need to upgrade Stormcry from +7 to +9 would be the Elemental Essence. This item is probably the hardest item to obtain in the entire patch, the ways of getting it is limited. So I’d like to go over the different ways of actually obtaining them.

    1) How / when is Extreme Mode triggered?
    2) What additional mechanics / buffs will the boss get?
    3) How much Elemental Essence will he drop at the end?

    To answer the probably most interesting question first: It seems its always 3 Essences (i cleared 4x and it was always the same + 3x KTera Stream had the same table).
    The boss doesnt rly get additional buffs, but adds some more mechanic variety. He does that by alternating which mechanic he does first - the last mentioned one or the one before (hard to explain sry). You trigger the EM at 95%. You normally push the boss to 95%, he will do the shield mechanic and spawns 5 "things" (similar to the ones you deactivate after 1st boss). If you manage to deactivate them in time the EM is triggered.

    From what I know you trigger it by activating the switches on 95% shield of RK9.


    As for extra mechanics, there's this Red/Green pattern under the boss's feet that indicates the switch of the mechanics (Ranged/Melee/Multiranged).


    Still trying to figure things out.
