What does the second half of 2017 bring for TERA?
A lot of exciting updates have been released in 2017 so far, ranging from a brand new class over to multiple new and exciting dungeons, including various welcomed improvements to game features such as the revamped Vanguard Initiative Window as well as the upcoming Dual Option system.
Our upcoming update in July will feature the return of Harrowhold as the ultimate challenge for every TERA player in a 20-man raid!
But that’s not all! 2017 has got so much more in store for you – a few highlights being presented in this short overview.
New Gearing System
Ever since the introduction of the awakening system, constructive discussions have been had about it, with a lot of players not liking the upfront cost to unlock the awakening, as well as the high difference in cost from player to player to reach +15.
In a patch still to come in 2017, this will change drastically! The Masterworking and Awakening systems will get completely removed and as such obliterate the frustration of having to unlock your items first before effectively upgrading it!
Additionally, from that moment onward, new patches will not rend your current gear less powerful – instead you can use your current gear and upgrade it into the newly released one!
The same counts for current gear sets and materials – you just got your VM9 weapon, and are unsure of whether you should still enchant it? Fret not! All progress within the current patch can be transferred in the new system into powerful gear, and current enchanting materials will get converted into new materials of your choosing!
Gunner Class for Elins
Shortly after the new gear has been released with new dungeons, the Gunner class will be made available to play for Elins!
Ever wanted to play Gunners on a different race to Castanics & Highelves? 2017 will make it happen!
New Dungeons to Explore
With the new gear, brand new and even more challenging dungeons are planned to be introduced! Alongside with them, the open world content will become richer, as World BAMs will be a bigger challenge granting better rewards linked to the new gear farming!
