Sun, love, a special request and… a contest!

While a heat wave falls on Arborea, the valiant fighters take advantage of a few moments of respite to bask in the sun. Among them, some have decided that it was the perfect time to celebrate something very special: their love. Indeed, in the Sylvanoth Forest’s chapel, a wedding proposal has been made and some witnesses were able to film this moment:

Their love now shines on Arborea’s lands and inside all heroes’ hearts.

Here is the perfect opportunity to bring a little warmth and some love to our loading screens. Winners of this contest will be rewarded with a TERA Mug, a Smart Box: Deluxe Beachwear, a Surfboard and will get the chance to see their creation published in game!

How to participate:

• Design an original piece of art with the dimensions 1920x1200px, formatted either as a .JPG, .PNG, .TIFF, .BMP or .PSD with a 24bit resolution.
• Your artwork's theme must be "Summer & Love"
• Submit your creation via email with the title “Summer&love” before Sunday, July 2^nd 2017, 23:59 CET to contest@tera-europe.com
• Don't forget to include your character's name and server in your email.

How the winners will be picked:
The TERA Team will pick the top 10 creations and then a forum poll will be initiated, allowing all forum-users to vote for their favorite Fan Art! The top 10 winners will be published on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

• Only one submission per e-mail account
• The participant needs to be the creator of the submitted image holding all legal rights attached to it.
• You must be more than 18 years of age.
• Cheating and trying to manipulate the votes will get you banned from this contest

Conditions of Participation

The following conditions govern the course of the Summer & Love Contest (‘contest’) as organised by Gameforge 4D GmbH, Albert-Nestler-Straße 8, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany (‘Gameforge’).

1. Event Period
The contest starts on 16/6/2017. The closing date for submissions is 2/7/2017 at 11:59 PM (‘participation period’).

2. No Participation Costs
Participating in the contest is free and is not linked to the purchase of goods or services.

3. Eligibility
(1) All players of full age with a personal and active account for TERA (‘account’), the online game offered by Gameforge, are eligible to enter.
(2) Employees of Gameforge and associated companies as well as relatives of any of the former are excluded from participation.

4. Participating
(1) ‘Participants’ are those eligible users who create an artwork on the subject of Summer & Love with relation to the online game TERA (‘artwork’) and who submit their work by email to contest@tera-europe.com with the subject line Summer & Love within the participation period (‘submission’).
(2) Artworks may be submitted in .JPG, .PNG, .TIFF, .BMP or .PSD format with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a 24-bit color depth.
(3) The submission must be sent from the email address associated with the account and contain the participant’s character name and server.

5. Winners and Grand Prize Winners
(1) Gameforge will select 10 artworks by 4/7/2017 from all valid submissions, considering their creativity and originality (‘shortlist’).
(2) The ‘winners’ are those participants who created these 10 artworks.
(3) Gameforge will announce the winners in the forums (http://board.tera.gameforge.com/) on 4/7/2017. Gameforge will also inform the winners themselves via email to the addresses they used for submission (‘notification’).
(4) Gameforge will publish the shortlist in the forums on 4/7/2017. By using a ‘forum poll’, forum users can rate the artworks in the shortlist until 6/7/2017 at 11:55 PM CET.
(5) The ‘grand prize winners’ are the five participants whose artworks have earned the most votes by the end of the poll. In the event of a tie, Gameforge may carry out one further forum poll on 7/7/2017 or decide the grand prize winners by drawing lots.
(6) Gameforge will announce the winners in the forums using their respective character names on 7/7/2017. Gameforge will also inform the winners themselves via email to the addresses they used for submission (‘grand prize notification’) and request a valid postal address (‘address’) for the purposes of sending the grand prize.
(7) Recourse to the courts regarding the determination of winners and grand prize winners is excluded in each case.
(8) The delivery of the grand prizes will follow within 30 days of receipt of the address by a service provider (‘service provider’) commissioned by Gameforge.
(9) The grand prizes are deemed to have been awarded to the grand prize winners by Gameforge with the handover of the prizes to the service provider. The grand prize winner bears responsibility should an incorrect address be provided or any unsuccessful delivery attempts made.
(10) Cash payments and/or payments in the form of material prizes, as well as the exchange and/or transfer of prizes to third parties is not possible.
(11) In appreciation of their achievements, Gameforge may present the artworks created via the channels maintained by Gameforge on Facebook and Twitter (‘presentation’). In accordance with Section 6 below, Gameforge may furthermore forward these artworks to the developers of the online game TERA (Bluehole, Inc.) as a form of special recognition, for the purposes of implementing the artwork as a loading screen in the game client for a limited period (‘implementation’). The decision regarding such implementation lies with Bluehole, Inc.
(12) Should the respective grand prize winner not wish for this implementation to take place, they can communicate this to Gameforge in reply to the grand prize notification by Monday, 10th July 2017.

6. Rights of Use
(1) For the purposes of conducting the forum poll and implementation (together hereafter ‘usage’), the participant confirms that the screenshot or artwork is unencumbered by third-party rights, and grants Gameforge the non-exclusive rights of use, free of charge and without limitation of time and place. This includes the rights to edit and reproduce the artworks, as well as the right to make them publicly available and grant rights of use to third parties, in as far as this is necessary for its usage.
(2) The participant agrees that the character name detailed in the submission when used in the contexts of its usage is sufficient evidence of their authorship.

7. Data Privacy
(1) Gameforge will collect, process and use participants’ personal data solely for the purposes detailed in these conditions in accordance with data protection laws.
(2) This includes forwarding the address on to the service provider. Gameforge will not relay any of the participants’ personal data beyond this.
(3) Further information regarding Gameforge’s handling of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer
(1) Regardless of legal grounds, Gameforge, its bodies, employees and subcontractors are liable exclusively for wilful intent and gross negligence, and in cases of ordinary negligence, only for the violation of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable damages, as far as not precluded by other compulsory statutory provisions.
(2) These limitations do not apply for the loss of life, personal injury or damage to health.

9. Other
(1) By making a submission, participants consent to these Conditions of Participation.
(2) In addition to these Conditions of Participation, the Standard Terms and Conditions of Use apply (together ‘the rules’).
(3) Should a participant infringe the rules during the event period, or such an infringement be proven thereafter, the eligibility to participate may be revoked.
(4) Gameforge reserves the right to end the contest at any time, if for technical or legal reasons its proper execution cannot be guaranteed.
(5) In the event that any individual provision of these conditions becomes ineffective, the remaining provisions shall remain effective and binding. Statutory rules shall take the place of the ineffective provision.
