The BuddyUp! system allows experienced TERA players to mentor newcomers to the game, rewarding both with items as the new player reaches certain level thresholds. All you have to do is exchange your BuddyUp code. In patch 51 we’re updating the BuddyUp rewards and giving both sides even more benefits from the system.
Changes for New Players
The rewards between levels 10 and 50 remain as they are currently, offering a mix of gold, bonus experience plus a variety of costumes and mounts.
Once you reach level 60, new players will immediately receive three Complete Crystalbinds, each one giving them a full 12-hour window to explore new instances to their heart’s content. We’ll also give you a Friendship Circle item which can be exchanged for a reward of your choice. You can find more details below.
Another selection of great rewards awaits you as a new player at level 65, including two Semi-Enigmatic Scrolls and ten Master Enigmatic Scrolls, providing you the perfect basis for upgrading your gear. You’ll also receive another Friendship Circle. Since certain rewards require more than one Friendship Circle, consider saving the one you receive at level 60 so you can spend both of them at the same time.
Changes for Mentors
Players who gave their BuddyUp codes to newcomers previously received temporary mounts and permanent head and back decorations. Now that the shop for Friendship Circles has been updated, you have a much greater selection of permanent mounts, some costumes and more head/back accessories to choose from.
