Contest: The “GUILD WEEK” on TERA!

Join the “Guild week contest” to win awesome prizes while making something special for your guild! What is the goal of your guild? What does your guild name stand for? What are your goals on Tera? Tell us about your guild with a written presentation or make an advertisement with a screenshot that will be published in game as a loading screen!

1. THE LOADING SCREEN CONTEST: “Guild advertisement” - Get some flying mounts for your guild members, an official TERA poster, some stickers and your guild screenshot inside our game!

You want that everybody on Arborea knows the name of your guild? Then use our loading screens in game to promote your guild and show us why your guild is different than the others!

Make your most creative, crazy, awesome and original screenshot with the members of your guild and try to win one of our amazing prizes:

• The top 10 winners will have the chance to see their creation published in game with their server and guild name on it!
• In addition, the top 3 winners will get our new TERA Poster and stickers. Also, 10 flying porcine with rainbow wings will be sent to their guild master so he/she can share with his/her guild members!

Prizes:

• Top 10: creation published in game
• Top 3: 10 x flying porcine with rainbow wings for guild members (sent to their guild master) + 1 TERA EU official poster + 1 sheet of TERA EU official stickers + creation published in game.

How to participate in the “Guild advertisement” contest (Loading screen):

• Take a nice picture-looking screenshot from the game (the screenshot’s theme must be your Guild).
• Send your screenshot via email with the title “Guild week screenshot” before Sunday September, 18th 2016, 23:59 CET to screenshots@tera-europe.com
• Screenshots must have a minimum dimension of 1920 x 1080, with a maximum file size of 6 MB.
• Don't forget to include when submitting your creation:
  - your character's name
  - guild name
  - server
  - and the character name of your Guild master
• Remember to press Control + Z to hide your interface for a better looking screenshot!

How the creations will be picked:

The TERA Team will pick the top 10 screenshots on Tuesday, September 20th 2016, and a forum poll will be initiated, allowing all forum-users to vote for their favorite screenshot!

The voting option will remain open till Thursday, September 22nd 2016, 23:55 CET.

The winners will be announced on Friday, September 23rd 2016 during the day and will also be contacted via email, through which they can give us a valid address for the shipping of the prizes.

Keep in mind:

• Only one submission per e-mail account
• Only one submission per guild is allowed
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Cheating and trying to manipulate the votes will get you banned from this contest
• By participating in this contest you accept our Terms and Conditions

2. SHOW OFF YOUR CREW: “Guild stories”!
You want to recruit new members and you need a little help to spread the word? Then write the best presentation of your guild inside our forum and get the opportunity to be published on our Facebook page and Twitter account.

On every day between Monday, September 19th 2016 and Friday September 23rd 2016, we will pick the most elaborate and nice introductions (in each language section) and will decide whether they will be published on our Facebook page and Twitter account.

What do we need?

• A nice presentation of your guild (philosophy, how many members, goals…)
• If possible add some logos, pictures, drawings
• You can also share us your videos or links to fansites
• Feel free to use any creative idea you have!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following conditions govern the course of TERA “Guild advertisement” Contest (‘contest’) as organised by Gameforge 4D GmbH, Albert-Nestler-Straße 8, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany (‘Gameforge’).

1. Participation Period
The contest starts on 07/09/2016. The ‘deadline’ for entries is 18/09/2016.

2. No Entry Fees
Participation in the contest is free and is not bound to the purchase of any goods or the subscription to a fee-based service.

3. Eligibility
(1) All users (‘user’) of full age with a personal, active account (‘account’) for TERA (‘game’), the online game offered by Gameforge, are eligible to enter.
(2) Employees of Gameforge or companies associated with Gameforge, or spouses and relatives thereof, are not eligible to participate.

4. Participants
A ‘participant’ is every eligible user (‘user’) who submits an email (‘submission’) to screenshots@tera-europe.com with the subject line ‘Guild week screenshot’ before the deadline, in accordance with the following conditions:
a) The submission must contain a screenshot of the game which exclusively displays the participant’s character along with characters of other users who have agreed to the submission (‘submitted combination’) in front of any background.
b) Neither personal details of any kind, the interface nor contents not related to the game may be visible on the screenshot.
c) Screenshots may be submitted in .jpg, .png or .gif format with a maximum file size of 6 MB. File format and size may be altered to conform to this requirement, but any editing beyond this is not permitted.
d) The submission must be sent from the email address associated with the participant’s account and contain the names of the characters displayed and the name of the respective game server.
e) Each participant may send only one submission. Similarly, submissions which contain a previously submitted combination will not be considered.

5. Winners and Grand Prize Winners
(1) Gameforge will select 10 screenshots from amongst all eligible submissions by 18/09/2016, on the basis of their creativity and originality (‘shortlist’).
(2) The ‘winners’ are the participants who created these 10 screenshots.
(3) Gameforge will announce the winners in the forums (http://board.tera.gameforge.com/) using their respective character names on 20/09/2016.
(4) Gameforge will further inform the winners of their win via an email sent to the address used for their submission (‘notification’).
(5) Gameforge will publish the shortlist in the forums on 20/09/2016. Forum users will be able to rate the shortlist in the form of a ‘forum vote’ until 22/09/2016, 11:55 PM CET.
(6) The ‘grand prize winners’ are the three participants whose screenshots have earned the most votes by the end of the forum vote. In the event of a tie, Gameforge may carry out one further forum vote on 23/09/2016 or decide the grand prize winners by drawing lots.
(7) Gameforge will announce the grand prize winners in the forums using their respective character names on 23/09/2016.
(8 ) Gameforge will further inform the grand prize winners of their win via an email sent to the address used for their submission (‘grand prize notification’) and request a valid postal address (‘address’) for the purposes of sending the grand prize.
(9) Recourse to legal action regarding the determination of winners and grand prize winners is not permitted.
(10) The delivery of the grand prizes will follow within 30 days of receipt of the address by a service provider (‘service provider’) commissioned by Gameforge.
(11) The grand prizes are deemed to have been awarded to the grand prize winners by Gameforge with the handover of the prizes to the service provider. Miscommunication of the address or unsuccessful delivery attempts are the sole responsibility of the grand prize winner.
(12) A cash disbursement and/or payment of the Gameforge coupon/grand prize in goods, or the exchange and/or transfer of the Gameforge coupon or grand prize to third parties is excluded in each case.
(13) In appreciation of their achievements, Gameforge will present the screenshots created by the winners via the channels maintained by Gameforge on Facebook and Twitter. In accordance with Section 6
below, Gameforge may furthermore forward these screenshots to the developers of the online game TERA (Bluehole, Inc.) as a form of special recognition, for the purposes of implementing the screenshots as a loading screen in the game client for a limited period (‘implementation’).
(14) Should the respective winners not wish for this implementation to take place, they can communicate this to Gameforge in reply to the grand prize notification by Monday 26/09/2016.

6. Rights of Use
(1) For the purposes of conducting the forum vote and implementation (together hereafter ‘usage’), the participant confirms that the screenshot is unencumbered by third-party rights, and grants Gameforge the non-exclusive rights of usage, free of charge and without limitation of time and place. This includes the rights of exploitation and reproduction, as well as the right to make the screenshot publicly available and grant usage rights to third parties, in as far as this is necessary for its usage.
(2) The participant agrees that the character name detailed in the submission when used in the contexts of its usage is sufficient evidence of their authorship.

7. Declaration of Consent
The participant consents to the notification or grand prize notification in the case of a win.

8. Data Privacy
(1) Gameforge will collect, use and process the personal data of the participants solely for the purposes detailed in these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with data protection regulations.
(2) This includes forwarding the address on to the service provider. Gameforge will not relay any of the participants’ personal data beyond that.
(3) Further information regarding Gameforge’s handling of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer
(1) Gameforge, its bodies, employees, and subcontractors are liable exclusively for wilful intent and gross negligence, regardless of legal basis, and in cases of ordinary negligence, only for the violation of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable damages, as far as not precluded by other compulsory statutory provisions.
(2) These limitations do not apply for the loss of life, personal injury or damage to health.

10. Other
(1) The participant agrees to these Terms and Conditions with their submission.
(2) In addition to these Terms and Conditions, the General Terms & Conditions also apply (together the ‘rules’).
(3) Should a participant infringe upon the rules during the participation period, or such an infringement by proven thereafter, their eligibility may be revoked.
(4) Gameforge reserves the right to end the contest before the end of the participation period, if for technical or legal reasons its proper execution cannot be guaranteed.
(5) In the event that any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions become ineffective, the remaining provisions shall remain effective and binding. Statutory rules shall take the place of the ineffective provision.

First of all we would like to thank all participants for their submissions. We received a lot of cool-looking screenshots and it was really difficult for us to choose the best ones.

In the end, we selected the top 10 screenshots below, which will be soon published in game with the server and guild name on it! Now it’s time for you to choose the top 3 winners!

Hello everyone,

Within the last days, you had the opportunity to vote for your favorite screenshots for the “Guild week” contest. After more than 300 votes, we are happy to announce the top 3 winners* today:

Those players will receive our new TERA Poster and stickers. In addition, 10 flying porcine with rainbow wings will be sent to their guild masters. The Top 10 screenshots will also be posted on the TERA Facebook page, so feel free to check them out!

Furthermore, we’ve decided not to set an end date for the publications of the “Guild stories” part since a lot of guilds didn’t have the time to focus on that. If you still want to get a chance for your guild to be presented on our social media channels, please contact your respective CoMa as soon as your presentation is posted on the forum.

Last but not least, we wanted to thank all guilds that sent us their screenshots. We know that it’s not easy to create an original and good-looking picture with multiple characters, but we hope that you enjoyed doing it as much as we enjoyed going through your submissions. In general, keep in mind that you can always contact your CoMa if you have personal projects related to TERA such as videos, cosplays, guides, etc. that you want to share with the community.
