Patch Preview 33

    The last big update saw the Gunner gracing the world of TERA, but the preparations for the next patch are already well under way.


    Get ready for four new instances (two with additional hard modes), a new battleground for level 65 players, improved skills for the Warrior and Berserker, and the long sought-after preview function for costumes, weapon skins and riding skills!


    Overview

    This little preview will give you a first glimpse at the upcoming contents. Over the coming weeks we'll be providing you with extra information and guides, whilst going into the new features in greater detail.

    In this patch preview we're going to focus on the changes to the Berserker and Warrior. The upcoming update will allow the Berserker to be built as a tank, while both the Warrior's roles (tank and damage dealer) can be further improved and fine-tuned.


    Berserker


    For the Berserker there are several new skills available to learn at level 65, which affect existing skills and afford additional effects.


    Warrior


    While the Warrior only receives one new skill, there are some improvements being made to the existing set. Up until now the Warrior has been able to take on the role of tank or damage dealer in a group. The upcoming changes will allow players to fine-tune the class build to be even better specialized for one of these roles.

    Our first sneak preview of the upcoming instances starts with the Vault of Kaprima. This dungeon from the days of yore has been dusted off to appear in all new glory for level 65. Vanquish the terrible crab Agarta and the servant of darkness Kornus, before taking on the final boss in the form of Kaprima Reborn!


    The Archdevas have resurrected Kaprima and are planning to use his powers to take over the region of Ostgarath. It's up to you to pack the smack down on Kaprima and deliver a crushing defeat to the Archdevas.

    The arrival of the latest instances "Akeron's Inferno" and "Timescape" heralds the introduction of the next generation of equipment items!


    New jewelry is available with this update. You can pick it up as loot in instances or exchange it for Cosmoshards.

    In this instance guide we'll be turning our attention to Akeron's Inferno, a dungeon for 10 players with two difficulty levels. In this raid you'll be up against four bosses: Darumag, Magnarox, Sammar-Sarral, and the final boss Duras!


    Arkeron's Inferno is the location where the ancient god Arkeron is imprisoned, who is now trying to free himself. Your mission is to prevent his escape, whatever the cost – but watch out, his four loyal servants will be hell-bent on making sure you don't foil his plans!

    The Gridiron is a brand new battleground for all level 65 players which will be opening its doors with the upcoming patch!


    In comparison to the existing battlegrounds, in the Gridiron you needn't worry about your group, listen to orders from your leader or follow any special strategy. The only thing that counts here is the points tally!

    In this patch preview we're taking a jump to the left, a step to the right, and giving the Timescape our full concentration. This instance for 5-player groups sees you confronting Hemera, the Bright World-Dragon, Eremes, the Dark World-Dragon, and Tempas, the Kumas of Storms. Finally, at the end you will have to defeat Valona, Master of the Timescape!
