Our website has just received plenty of background articles about the world and lore of TERA. So you now have the chance to read about the origins of the world and the current situation in which it finds itself. You can also discover all the details about the cities of the High Elves, the Humans and the Castanics.
If you always wanted to know how the continents of TERA originated, you should take a look at the new background articles.
I'm very intresting to learn more about these Titans, I hope we can learn more while progressing through the game, I'd ask you Raven to tell us if details about them will be revealed in the future but most likely you can't answer that.
Well what I know is that the Titans were exiled from somewhere... as the title of the game gives away (T.E.R.A = The Exiled Realm of Arborea).

bhs are removing the subtitle (the exiled realm of arborea)... or atleast they said they were thinking about it at e3 or something

Is that common for MMO or games in general to do?
I remember Aion lost its subtitle "Tower of Eternity" before US/EUlaunch.

Shorter names are easier to remember. Better in ads etc.

Yes I heard they removed it as well, but that doesn't change the fact that the titans that formed the world of Arborea was exiled! What could they do that got them exiled? hm... Maybe they falled in love with each other but that was forbidden?!
At Gamescom I spoke with Jason "BrotherMagneto" Mical (En Masse Community Director) and he confirmed it (they stop use subtitle). If you look at Tera-online.com you will not see anywhere there (officially) The Exiled Realm of Arborea.
He also told me that "Arborea" we can consider something like the old world - before the emergence of today's races (but I'm not 100% sure there was a noise).

hhhmmm i always thought the lore said that the titans were the only 2 being in the universe and then they fell asleep and dust and debris was pulled in by their gravity to form the planet.... and then they dreamed that the planet had light (so they didnt dream it had a sun.... )

and that's a stupid move btw, but hey... at least a few ppl in the world will know what TERA means... the elite group

David N. the lead writer, actually gave us a hint regarding this "exiled realm of arborea' thingy. There IS a story line behind it, however, they don't want to use it somehow...
