Hello, TERA fans across the world!
We’re pleased to address a question that has been a hot topic in the community since Frogster and En Masse Entertainment announced the local publishing of TERA in Europe and North America – “Will players in Europe and North America be able to choose to play on game servers in either territory?”
The answer is that Frogster and En Masse will not implement IP blocking between North America and Europe. This means that in Europe or North America, you will be able to freely select which territory you wish to play TERA.
“We don’t want to isolate players in their decision what server they chose and with who they are going to discover the world of TERA.” said Andreas Weidenhaupt, CEO of Frogster Online Gaming GmbH, “Furthermore we think that IP blocking is not linked to AAA games in times of player communities which are getting more and more connected all over the world.”
Note that accounts created with one publisher will not be able to access the other publisher’s servers. Additionally, player data such as characters or progression will not be shared or transferrable between different publishers’ servers.
