In this second instance preview we'll be introducing the Ghillieglade, the location of Banyakas's Sanctum.
All of Arborea's other ghilliedhus are descended from Banyakas, which is why he has a certain level of control over their behavior. By and large, ghilliedhus are docile creatures, but Banyakas is being influenced by an obscure power. Your quest in this instance is to rid him of this spell, before his rage can transfer to the other ghilliedhus!
The Ghillieglade is a solo instance. You'll find the entrance in the Oblivion Woods in Arcadia. Priests and Mystics receive an extra bonus upon entering which increases their skill damage by 50%.

1. The journey through the Ghillieglade begins here.
2. Defend the Injured Oasis Giant by defeating the monsters from the crystals.
3. Keep the Subverted Warden away from the Ward Stone.
4. Destroy the Mighty Hypnotic Stone and free Banyakas.
Help the Injured Oasis Giant by defeating the monsters
The guardian is injured and encircled by enemies. Defend him by defeating all of the monsters which appear at the Coercive Shards! The Oasis Giant will destroy a shard each time you defeat 25 enemies. Keep him alive until all four shards have been destroyed.
Defend the Ward Stone and destroy the Hypnotic Stone
The Ward Stone lies stricken on the ground, threatened by two Subverted Wardens. Keep them both away from the stone for as long as possible. It must be allowed to recover so that it can destroy the Hypnotic Stone!
Given that the Subverted Wardens can take a lot of punishment and are very difficult to kill, it makes more sense to distract them. As soon as you have attracted their attention, glowing red markers will appear. The wardens will then attack you, rather than the Ward Stone.
There is another option for keeping the wardens away from the Ward Stone... by fighting! Keep throwing them to the ground, and win enough time for the Ward Stone to destroy the Hypnotic Stone!
Destroy the Mighty Hypnotic Stone and free Banyakas from its spell
Before facing up to Banyakas' fury, you can choose whether you wish to receive a power or healing boost. Simply choose the one which suits you best!
Banyakas has numerous attack skills at his disposal. He's equipped with heavy blows, fiery breath – which you would be advised to steer well clear of – as well as a slowing AoE attack. We've put together an overview of his skills for you:
Heavy blow left and right
Lateral shock wave (takes effect on one side)

Frontal fire
Slowing AoE attack around him
Fiery breath (enter the circle to dodge)

Banyakas also summons monsters to help him. Attack the Mighty Hypnotic Stone and avoid the attacks to free Banyakas from the dark spell!
Once the Mighty Hypnotic Stone has been destroyed, you'll receive Banyakas's Treasure Chest in reward. It may contain the following items:
- Gold
- Master Enigmatic Scroll
- Level III Etching Designs
- Dazzling Treasure Box
- Molten Token II
- Ghillieglade Teleport Scroll
- Three new necklaces
- Patron weapons and armor
- Various brooches
- Demokron's Plasma
- Level 14 sacrifice items
- Runeblade Fragment
- Design: Runeblade Memento (Weaponcrafting)
- Design: Runeblade Memento (Armorcrafting)
Increased difficulty
In addition to the normal mode, there is also the possibility of shortening your stay in the Ghillieglade and playing through the instance on a higher difficulty level.
This is possible as soon as you have successfully played through the instance once. At the entrance you may then choose not to free the Gatekeeper and the Oasis Giant, but instead to head straight for Banyakas and destroy the Mighty Hypnotic Stone.
But be warned! The two unfreed bosses will be summoned by Banyakas! They can stun you and inflict damage. In addition even more henchmen will appear.
Once the stone has been destroyed, Banyakas will not be immediately placated – instead you must close in and weaken him, making the battle that much more difficult.
For defeating Banyakas at this difficulty level, you'll likewise be rewarded with Banyakas's Treasure Chest!
