Coming in July, the next big patch for TERA will bring with it even stronger equipment items, a revised extraction system and five new instances. We'll be giving you a preview of some of these changes over the coming weeks.
One of the new instances is Lakan's Prison. Together with four companions, you'll face up against two bosses equipped with new attacks and tactics. We recommend entering Lakan's Prison with an item level of at least 159. The entrance to this instance can be found in the Oblivion Woods in Arcadia.
After the first wave of enemies which challenge you and your companions in small groups, you'll need to defeat the first boss: Trolok, Risalke's Henchman. During combat, Trolok will repeatedly call reinforcements to him, and try to defend the gate from your attacks.
Trolok has numerous area attacks which he concentrates on the area in front of him:
As soon as Trolok is defeated, the gate opens and you can take on Risalke and her Deva Worshippers:
Risalke has various attacks at her disposal, such as Fireballs which rain down from the skies, or Flame Pillars which appear under your feet:
Several times during the fight she also makes use of a shield which renders her invulnerable. During these phases, her Deva Worshippers transform into stronger opponents. You must defeat them before they can complete their transformation!
When Risalke has been reduced to 50% HP, she turns to the god Lakan and prays for greater strength. Infused with his might, she transforms into the Possessed Risalke:
She is now more powerful than before and can summon Lakan's Magic Balls. These are special fireballs which gradually move towards the center of the room. Your group must destroy these magic balls before they can reach their target, otherwise each sphere will produce a shock wave filling the entire room and throwing your group to the ground!
Upon defeating Risalke, your group will be rewarded with various items, such as Demokron's Plasma, new rings and the Molten Token II, all of which you will need for the new equipment items. This instance is also host to a brand new variety of item: Brooches!
