Recently we invited 18 fansite members from across Europe to Berlin. Our guests had the chance to take an exclusive look at the latest western version of TERA, which will be used for our first online test in Europe.
Throughout the two days our visitors also had the chance to interview the Frogster staff about their work and TERA. A couple of fansites already published their impressions of the weekend, together with photos and videos. Our official video will follow soon!
After everyone safely arrived at the special location, we held our presentation where we introduced the people behind the TERA team and unveil our upcoming fansite program. Besides playing and asking questions, we organized a dungeon run contest with different teams. The target goal was to defeat the first boss of a dungeon as fast as possible. It was certainly exhilarating for both participants and those watching!

On Saturday evening we visited a museum about the history of videogames and stopped for a visit at a local restaurant, so our guests also had a little tour of Berlin.

In the end we want to thank everyone who participated in this fantastic event, we all had a lot of fun and some very interesting discussions. We hope to see everyone again and even more members of our great community at upcoming events and conventions across Europe!

We also like to share with you some personal feedback from the Community Team about the Event:
Anna – French CM
“This community event was definitely a success from my point of view. The “internationality” was the key of the event and beyond the game community, there are also people from many different cultures who had a unique occasion to interact with each other. Most of the attendees already knew some members of the Frogster team, but for them it was also a good occasion to discover the newest members.
As for the CM team, we were really happy to see everyone again or even some of them for the first time. It was really a great experience.”
Amaurea – German CM
“After a week of excitement, busy preparations, a couple of minor heart attacks and the reviving of Henning’s (our Product Manager) car, going to fetch the first of you from the airport was like a relief but also like the final exam at once. Will everything work out? What will you think about the Event and the Fansite Program? Did we forget something – or someone? At least we added all of us also to the “do not forget list”, especially Philipp who had to wait at the Airport for a couple of hours. But after we picked up the very first of you guys on Friday the stress of the last days was gone and replaced by anticipation about meeting every single one of you as well as with the confidence if something goes wrong, we will handle it. From there it was just natural meetings, chatting, laughing and the days went by in a breeze. Still the trip to the museum was a challenge, but thanks to you we mastered it with excellence, loosing no one on the way.
It is always interesting to see people of so many nationalities meeting in one point to share something they have in common, and how they get along with each other. In this case it was unlike a meeting of strangers, it was a gathering of the TERA Family.
Thank you for this amazing weekend. I am looking forward to meeting you all again!”
Shojin – English CM
“It was great getting to know all the fansite leaders face to face, rather than through email or PM. The atmosphere during the whole event was fantastic! Excitement, intrigue, laughter and good old fashioned fun! It was exactly what we wanted. Different communities coming together, regardless of culture or nationality and enjoying the one thing they all have in common: TERA. The highlight of the event was probably the dungeon run race, even watching the event you could feel the excitement! For some, it was even their first time playing TERA and as they were playing you knew that they were hooked on the game.
Coming in a close second to the dungeon race was the computer gaming museum, with the pain station proving to be the best part of the museum. Anyone up for a game?
A big thank you to all that attended, for all the hard work and effort you have all put in so far. The TERA Team appreciates it and we’re proud to have you all on board!”
Raven – Lead CM
“In my previous years as a CM I went to a couple of Community Events already, but this one was really special to me. It was overall great fun to see so many familiar faces again and to have time to speak with them about TERA and many other interesting topics. It’s always great to see the happy faces of our community members, after they had some time to spend with TERA and the Frogster crew.
I’m also proud, that everyone talked with each other, no matter where they came from. It was not like people were separated in groups by their language. Everyone was having fun together and shared his or her personal impressions and viewpoints of the event and game.
So in the end I’m really looking forward to meet everyone again in the future and enjoy the nice family like atmosphere and continue the talks we had in Berlin at this event.”
