On Friday, 11th of March 2011 we sent out the first batch of mails to guilds and fansites across Europe. Since then we’ve gathered even more people for our first test session in Europe and collected their contact details. In total we’ve invited over 1500 people to this first test session. Not only members of fansites and guilds were invited, but also contest winners and handpicked forum users.
Later today we’ll send out another email with the invitation itself, the download area access details, as well as the link to our dedicated test session forum. So keep an eye on your inbox throughout the day. Please be reminded, that it’ll take some time until all emails have been sent and received, so there could be a small time difference between the first and last people, who receive the invitation and download information.
Furthermore we recently did a survey about a custom forum user title for our testers. So every tester is free to change his usergroup identification in the forums (through the settings menu) and will so be able to display the custom forum title “Arborea's Emissary” below his or her nickname.
Now time to finally reveal all the important details about the first test in Europe:
The first test will happen on the following date and times:
Thursday: 6pm until 12:00am Friday
Friday: 12pm until 02:00 am Saturday
Saturday: 10am until 02:00am Sunday
Sunday: 10am until 01:00 am Monday
All testers who supplied us with the correct mail address, used for our forums, will get access to the test session forums.
- These forums will contain further information and feedback forms on special parts of the game.
- The first test will be completely in English and without any NDA.
- Participants are free to take screenshots and videos of the game, but we want to point out, that the game is still in development and things could be changed until the final version arrives. Additionally this version does not represent the full westernized version of TERA.
- There will be a level cap of 17 for this test session.
Worry not, if you were not lucky enough to receive an invitation for this first test session. We’ll offer a couple of further opportunities to test TERA in Europe, before we release the game. Future spots can be obtained through official contests, fansite contests, different giveaway opportunities and of course, contributing in the forums!
We’re looking forward to meeting our invited guests and receiving your feedback in our test forums! Everyone else can look forward to new screenshots, videos and feedback reports from the testers after the event has finished.
