Yeah, I suppose.
Doesn't hurt to broaden your interests sometimes though. Claymore isn't one to be overlooked, I guarantee it lol. I even managed to watch (and enjoy I might add) Bleach, with it's crazy animation. Good story and fight scenes though.

Well I think most of the people suggested animes with similar genres that OP likes such as comedy and romance.
If someone wants some ''Mature/serious'' animes I can give many and by mature I don't mean Lewd stuff
I don't watch many animes but if you know some like Fate Zero then share I might have time to watch when I'm less busy
Angel Beats
I don't think I could recommend this enough, even for non-anime people.
Also 'birdy: decode', and 'Eden of the east'. Bit more sci-fi but seriously good.

You might like Code Geass it has an even more complicated plot than FZ imo ![]()

Claymore went totally off the manga's path so i don't know if it isn't better to read the manga.
Hmm something like FateZero, pretty tough one as I'm not that ''big'' fan of Fantasy stuff but Ill list few nice serious animes I like which some of you might find interesting.
Darker than Black (This one is actually pretty good) - Action, mystery, scifi, super power.
Hellsing - (watch the first episode and you can decide if you want to continue. I'm sure you will enjoy it if its your ''cup of tea'') - action, horror, vampire, supernatural
Black Lagoon - really good action series + sometimes funny voice acting - (genres: action)
Psycho-Pass - one of the ''new'' serious anime series that is actually really good - genres: action, scifi, police
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - action, scifi, mecha, military, police
Ergo proxy - Cyberpunk, psychological, mystery, scifi (one of my favorite)
Serial Experiments Lain - Dementia, Mystery, Drama, Sci-Fi, Supernatural, Psychological (Warning though: this anime is really slow and I bet most of the people would find this really boring and hard to follow as it's literally mindf*ck every episode.)
Texhnolyze - Action, Drama, Sci-Fi, Psychological some deep stuff
but really good in my opinion. It's really quiet series and by that I mean there isn't that many dialogues. Some may find that really boring but that's what made it good for me ![]()
NHK ni Youkoso! - most of the people know this one but you should watch it if you haven't seen it. Quite unique anime in my opinion. It's about Hikikomori and his struggles to find way out from his misery. Comedy, Drama, Romance, Psychological It's really funny but at the same time very serious and kind of depressing from time to time.
Most of these aren't really that similar to the fate/zero though but if you are searching for some more ''serious'' series instead of MOE MOE COMEDY ECCHI ,then you might want to try some of these.
and yeah Code Geass is good one
K thanks :p
Nice recommendations Minji. I've heard Psycho Pass is a modern great in terms of anime.
Hellsing though, that sucks IMO. Hellsing Ultimate is reviewed more favourably but I don't like that either.
mm yeah I heard the ultimate is better so I guess it would be better choice if you start watching the series now. I still think the first one was okay(mediocre), I never got myself to watch the ultimate as Alternative version didn't sound too inviting if you saw the first version already.
Another good anime I didn't mention in my previous post that I enjoyed alot is Samurai champloo - nice action series with good background music (nujabes) and the animation style is really beautiful
It's something different and worth watching imo.
It sucks when you have seen most of the good ones already and I can never experience them like when I watched them for the first time. Sometimes I wish I could erase my memory and watch all good animes again T_T
not all the same genre... but, there are my favourites i'd recommend, at least the ones i can remember now ;3
Dragon Ball
Fate / Stay night / Zero
Full Metal Alchemist
Fairy Tail
Bleach
Soul Eater
Saint Seiya
D-Gray man
Samurai Champloo
Evangelion
Ghost in the Shell
Claymore
Tenjou Tenge
SAO
Shingeky no kyogin
Nana
Ergo proxy!

I wish this were possible with many works of fiction. Metal Gear Solid, the Final Fantasy PS1 games and Ocarina of Time for one.

That's a common theme with most adaptations, especially anything foreign into English. Sometimes the translations are rubbish, or they just decide to change it for entertainment reasons. All of which I'm cool with for the moment, will have more of an opinion once I read the books. Haven't gotten around to them yet, but I plan to once they all turn up. ![]()
Even if it's totally different, I still loved it lol.
A lot of my recommendations are already out there but here's another couple
Mayo Chiki
Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai (I remember when last episode aired, global chat had some fans and discussed their opinions... I couldn't help myself and joined in: YAY Community!)
Mayo Chiki is trash.
Boku Wa Tomodachi is also trash but at least it's watchable. Mayo Chiki is just plain dumb.

Animes are made for asian market first, later translated/adapted(for example, One piece had guns replaced with different things(hammers, water guns etc.) and Sanji was non-smoker, he was sucking lollipops) for western market. There are great adaptations, like, FMA:brotherhood, One piece, Naruto, even Bleach, that doesn't stray from the path of the manga, but Claymore fethed up pretty heavily.
Well, I have nothing to compare it to yet and even if they're totally different, I'm not bothered about such things anyway lol. I like anime but I'm not a hardcore fanboy so continuity doesn't affect my viewing pleasure. I see most things for what they are, entertainment. ![]()
I plan to watch FMA at some point, if I can tear myself away from games. Having listened to the commentary on Claymore episodes, I learnt that some of the same English voice actors from Funimation are in that as well. I think I would enjoy it, they take their characters quite seriously. Always a good sign.
So many anime suggestions. I need something cute like Kimi Ni Todoke. I can't go through all.. ~_~ I watched some but I'm still looking for something like that.
Something similiar... Have you seen Tokyo Marble Chocolate? It's a short full-length animation, might be worth giving it a shot. Other works might include Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Ouran High School Host Club or perhaps Hotarubi no Mori e.

I've only seen the Ouran High School Host Club. Thanks. Will check them out.
sukitte ii na yo is good aswell. Lots of drama though but it's kind of similar. It's about young girl who got no friends and usually gets bullied by others until she meets this popular guy. Tonari no kaibutsu-kun as IceD recommended is good aswell, it's more about comedy instead of drama.
The current anime season needs to finish airing already.. I want to see some new ones >*
