I did the whole thing to get the raptor about 5 months ago and everything worked as a charm. Now, its a meh mount. You will be far better with just the tulvar flying one you get for free at level 65. Any flying mount is a million times better than a regular one.

But those mounts also like the black panther or Red raptor are way cooler then those free mounts or p2w mounts. Remember those time when you had to earn your mounts. The black panther was the first i wanted when i started with tera and it is still the coolest of All mounts

I am a feline lover. And i wanted the black panther really badly, because well it was free. But after learning how tedious it is to get it, and discover that flying mounts are just the way to go for everything (and that you get a free one at level 65), i just discarded my way to get it. I prefer to save gold to buy a flying lion or something like that. Or in the future just buy one from the store. Sure, i agree that there are regular mounts that are far more beautiful or neat that flying ones, but again, it is just not worthy. And for example, the actual flying mount tera club members get is really awful (im even planning to replace it with a regular pegasus when my tera club membership ends loool), and even if it is a flying mount, the previous one (the lupus nocturnus) was far more neat and impressive. Also it was a forever mount. The actual one is just temporal as long as you are tera club member. It was far better the lupus, even if it wasnt a flying mount. It looked far better (actually i love it).

But no. The raptor doesnt look better than any flying one, in fact, the animations are really awful for a dinosaur. I didnt try the black panther but it looks ok, but again, you will need so much patience to get it, that by the time you can actually use it, you will have another one better... you have the flying lions that are, honestly, amazing, you have other flying cats as well, and you have the leopards, that look better than the panther. As i said, i wanted the panther because i am a feline lover and i wanted to have a small collection, but it is just too much the grind for it.

You could always have both, and use em as needed. A ground one and a flying one. I do that sometimes. But in the end, even doing that is too tedious and you will end just using a flying one rofl.

You can't get the panther anymore, they're not planning on making it available anymore ( why spend money on free things when people are fine with it being this way, like all the achievements and mounts you can't get anymore), you also can't get it from the shop, not the black one at least.

The flying mounts are not the way to go, usually you tp to everywhere, the only time you use mounts is between bosses, to preserve your nice HO+3 boots that you spent 15 mil on from getting dirty ( we don't want dem shiny boots to look bad , they're worth 600 euro ), and to do the flying " map event/quest ".

Erm, flying mounts are way faster than regular mounts, and can avoid many obstacles when you have to hurry anywhere you want to go. In fact, in major cities you will probably even use flying turbo instead top many times...

A mount purpose is to go faster , so, flying ones are always far better. So, they are the way to go. Its just common sense.

If they could improve ground mounts, making em faster on ground than flying ones, they will have a purpose. But since they are almost always slower even on ground..

Sure, you tp anywhere, but if you cant or you dont want to... its like saying why we have better things if they are pointless? lol. It makes no sense.

And why is the black panther not available anymore? because nobody had the guts to grind for it? lol. I dont see why they would remove it from the game, its not like they are losing money or something. Its always better to have more things to chose from, not less.

Yeah way to go if you think " money is time " and want to get somewhere instantly instead of just taking 30 seconds to get there, so no it's not the way to go " common sense ", if you like them good for you, some people might prefer normal mount skins and it's still fine, how did we manage to survive for years without flying mounts ? It has limited flying time anyway so it's not THAT good.

The black panther is not available anymore because you can't get some materials that are needed for it, google it and go try to get it and you'll understand.

Of course this game is based on looks. I didnt say you CANT chose a regular mount instead. I myself (as i said) still use my lupus nocturnus all the time, but i also use flying mounts as well. The point here is, if your primary goal is to go faster and have a mount to, well, go to places, you should chose for obvious reasons a flying mount. And this doesnt need a complicated understanding. Its pretty straight forward. If you prefer just a mount you like it without giving importance to go faster or whatever, sure you can chose a regular mount or whatever you like. I never said otherwise.

And the final point is that, even if you like a regular mount, there are sooo many flying ones to chose from and many of em are really cool, that eventually a high percentaje of people will end chosing a flying one. And this is a fact. The majority of players, (if you play regularly you will see for yourself) will use flying ones.

Not True. You only need 5 item. 1 From Velika M.Draught 1500 repu credit, Hyderad Legacy /bastion/ Silverine Branch 1500 credit, Valeskyr hunt Cowl Harness 3500 credit,Shariar S.N leather 1500 credit, Invalesco Trikai Grizly Steak 1500 credit. IDK the next patch,but NOW still there... Only need repu and repu credit.
