Event: Discover the sentence and your server wins!

    Greetings adventurers!


    Now that our pirate contest voting is slowly coming to an end, we’re getting ready to launch the next big event!


    Between Saturday, 20th of July 2013 and Sunday, 4th of August 2013, the monsters in Arborea will drop special items which you can collect! There will also be special login rewards on different days and dungeons that drop twice the amount of loot!


    But to get back to the “discover the sentence” part of the event: Every day, a different item will be dropped by a different monster. The first letter of this item’s name will figure as a letter in the sentence we’re looking for.


    Example:


    On Sunday, the Red Lash Sentinels will be able to drop a “Straw Hat”, and as such, one of the letters you’re looking for is “S”. If a dungeon, let’s say “Balder’s Temple”, is affected by the double drop event, the letter you’ll be looking for is “B”.


    What are the login rewards?


    On the days where a login reward is taking place, players will have to log into the game between the mentioned times in order to get the item. Only one character per account will be counted, and the item will only be distributed to one of your characters. The item will be accredited at the end of the stated timeframe, and your character will get a message in-game.


    What can you win once you have discovered the whole sentence?


    Every player can, every day, win the actual premium item which drops from the monsters. Each day, a new item will appear, and you may thus get a new visual item every day. Remember, temporary items can be stacked, and in doing so, you can vastly increase their duration!


    Additionally to that, depending on how fast your server was, you may also get a weekend with a higher drop rate in dungeons!

    • The first server to submit the correct sentence will win a 2x drop weekend.
    • The second server to submit the correct sentence will win a 1.75x drop weekend.
    • The other ten servers will win a 1.5x drop weekend.

    This increased drop rate event will take place from Saturday, 3rd of August 00:00 CEST until Sunday, 4th of August 23:59 CEST.

    • Monday, 22nd of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Tuesday, 23rd of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Wednesday, 24th of July 2013: Stay online between 14:00 CEST and 19:00 CEST
    • Thursday, 25th of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Friday, 26th of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Saturday, 27th of July 2013: Double dungeon drop in Labyrinth of Terror
    • Sunday, 28th of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Monday, 29th of July 2013: Stay online between 16:00 CEST and 21:00 CEST
    • Tuesday, 30th of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Wednesday, 31st of July 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Thursday, 1st of August 2013: Monsters drop an item
    • Friday, 2nd of August: Deadline for submissions
    • Saturday, 3rd of August: Increased drop rate
    • Sunday, 4th of August: Increased drop rate

    The items and monsters will always change at midnight. One day/item/dungeon will always go from 00:00 CEST until 23:59 CEST.


    What monsters drop these items?


    Here comes the tricky part of the event – you have to find the monster which drops the items you are looking for! As this is a cooperative event for the whole server, you’ll need all the help you can get in order to identify the monster and thus get the items!


    But do not fret; you can easily identify the zone in which these monsters run around as a special buff will be applied to your character.


    So gather your guild mates and friends on your server, identify the zone in which the event is taking place and get started!


    How do I submit the sentence?


    If you think you’ve successfully deciphered the sentence we’re looking for, you can send us an email to this address: event@tera-europe.com. Please include the sentence in the subject as follows:


    “Sentence – Server”


    Warning! Only one sentence per player can be submitted. Multiple submissions will be disqualified. Only submissions between Friday, 26th of July 2013 12:00 CEST (11am UK time) and Friday, 2nd of August 12:00 CEST (11am UK time) will be counted.


    The first player to submit the correct sentence will win the aforementioned rewards for their server!


    The event begins in only a few hours!


    Are you ready for this epic challenge? Mount your horses and tell your friends about this fight between the servers! Don’t go easy on the monsters, and may you enjoy the special new visual items that you can find!


    Unfortunately it’s not possible to provide a German and French sentence for this event, as we would need to use different and less interesting items for those sentences. The final sentence will only be available in English. In order to identify the letters in question, French and German players would need to play with an English client, as the French and German letters do not correspond with the English ones.

    How to stack them? When I equip it just switch the items.

    Put both items in your inventory, drag one into the other one. Don't drag it into an equipped one on your profile slot thing.

    the drop from todays monster is unreleased content :O
    you have no idea what a pleasant surprise that was! And the fact that we have a chance to win drop rate increase? Even though this is a bit unfair to less populated servers, it's still a brilliant idea that will make people want to participate.


    This might be the best event you guys have had so far. If the monsters didn't drop unreleased content however then it would have been a pretty bad event cause no one would be trying, wouldn't be worth the time.


    I really hope all the other drops will be unreleased content as well!
    Even though it's just temporary items, it is very much worth the effort to go hunting for them BECAUSE it's new content.

    And Elenea is huge with 1000 different mobs plus probably a low chance to drop? What a complete waste of time to find just one drop... for a 2x drop weekend instead of 1.5 later... yea fail event unless you're on killian. :lol:

    If your server works together you would know which mobs u need to kill.


    And I got 16 shells, so drop rate is pretty decent, probably in 2-3 hours of farming.

    Drop rate is decent for farming it when you know the damn mobs but there's so many it's a complete waste of time to try every single type of mob for 30min+ to make sure it doesn't drop it (and it's still RNG)


    How can a dead server with most people clueless of the event work together?

    Well... when I ask on my Server which mobs I have to kill for the Shells, I don't get an answer (or answers like "search for it") -.-'
    I guess something like working together doesn't exist.
    I want that cute shell too ;(

    It is. Me and a friend have been farming it, and the amount of drops are amazing! Especially since he is a rookie (Thulsa alone dropped 9 MES and about 12 masterwork alkahest. And the first miniboss sometimes drops 9 masterwork alkahest)


    It only works on normal mode, though. Our guild split into several parties to farm, as the drops in the hard mode are ridiculously small.

    Dropping 20~30 mwa and 7~8 mes per run. I actually like this event.
