Voice of the Community: Achievements

  • I like the idea of archievement killing mobs or completing quests .. I hope there are even more rare than other objects maybe killing a few bosses particular

  • I would rather have special titiles unlocked with achievements or cosmetic items that won't affect your stats. They should't be anything that would affect your stats or gameplay

    my 2 cents

  • definitely #2. And if anybody has problem understanding 'why number 2?' - I suggest them to play any MMO first.

  • Please include rewards (items, buffs, etc.) for reaching certain achievements + Please include special character titles as rewards for achievements = Will be good =)

  • I want cosmetic rewards, but titles still interesting too.

  • i agree 100% with u

  • IMO achievements should always be something optional and never give as reward an item which improves your character's stats.

My vote goes for cosmetic rewards and if could vote a second choice i would go for Titles too.

  • In general I do not care a great deal about achievements although sometimes they can add value to the gameplay experience. I like achievements that push players to improve their skills and work together to achieve something not possible alone. Personal achievements such as kill 100 of mob X to gain the title MOB X SLAYER or to earn a kitty cat pet, or craft some particular item hold no interest for me. However, I am aware I'm probably in the minority with this view. Many of my friends love them all and often spend time comparing achievments with each other.

I am happy for items to be rewarded for achievements provided they are 'fun' items rather than 'must haves' required to be competative; because to me achievements should be something to collect only because you enjoy it.

  • Hardcore, highly experienced wow veteran here, as you might know we have achievements there. So I just got 2 things to say:
    1. Sorry but getting achievement for dying, or joining a party sounds useless and pretty silly.
    2. If there will be achievements for completing some dungeon, or achieving something in pvp, then you'll get alot of "LFG healer, lancer and 2x dps for <insert dungeon name here>! Link achievement (or come for inspect) or no invite!".
    Do you want it?
Anyway, voted for only cosmetic rewards and by this I mean some silly items, not titles to flex, or mounts, or anything like it. Just some silly dress or, I dunno, hair rose, hell, I don't have very good imagination, but I'd say keep it down to something useless.

If you're one of the top players you will be getting the top gear already weather it be from PVP or PVE content - why give the best something that makes them even better? They don't need it!

That is pretty well said, in no way there should be special buffs/items/gear rewards for achievements. You want some special kid who's in a decent guild and already got bis gear to get even more buffs, to feel a God and run around ganking ppl for eternity? I don't think so. Please don't boost such ppl's ego.
I highly disagree with scarab lord-like titles. These should never exist. They make someone WAY too special, leaving all the rest to envy. Ppl don't like that. So please try to avoid this kind of rare achievements.

  • Please include an option to publish guild achievements directly to our forums :)
Anyway the Facebook/twitter thing is a good option, too

  • i think that achivements will help in make the game more competitive and have some cosmetic item or a title to show to other people would be nice

  • I think Titles like give small stat bonuses nothing major is the way to go like Aion.

I agree with that, was an interesting system.

  • Very good points there! I don't really see them as "ahievments" if everyone can easily get them and yea, they only should be cosmetic.
