How does "balanced gear" go with "get ready to fight"? Get ready how exactly? I was getting ready for PvP by gearing up so I fail to see the point in "balancing". I think I will pass...

Hey guys,

if you start the game launcher, you'll notice that the pre-patch (~ 2.83 GB) is now available. You can already start to download the patch directly or in the background, though you won't be able to install the patch yet. If the QA process will go well, we'll be able to deploy and launch the update next week.

Can you please tell us when we get really but really detailed patch notes??

Guys pls dont make Balanced Gear that why i quit rift and a lot of ppl, before you make this pls go and play rift to check how it works in bg. You will see naked chars 55lvl kills 59 lvl chars on one hit coz thay have top pvp gear for free in buff xD. When you play before you make pvp gear its usless now !!!!. Now you make char in one week 60 lvl and you own all wichout gear !!!!. In RPG is all about gear you play and farm gear to get better and better gear is the essence of games!! and keep player!!! to play.

I tell one thing for end you kill game and rpg doing Balanced Gear and for end you will stay wich 5 years old ppl's. BG are great but witchout Balanced Gear. If you want keep old rpg player's pls dont make it balanced!!. It's my opinion i hope you think about this^^ and whats happen to rift now^^.

Make BG by lvl's cap dont make it like this.

But you are a badtank, how are we supposed to believe you?

Seriously, what makes you believe that having a balanced gear defeats the purpose of having more competitive game? Isn't that supposed to be the other way around? Old peope (geared) pwning new people in BG just because they don't have the right gear yet. Is that really how it's supposed to be? Isn't that just having a better gear? Do you feel so pro when you kill people that doesnt have decent armor yet? Do you think having better gear will make you more skilled than everyone else? Can you explain why? To me, PVP are supposed to be a feature in which player showoff their skills, teamwork, etc.. Not armor, not stats. Skills.

Also, this is not Rift (I actually have no idea what that game is like). If a low level did 1-shot you then it's not balanced at all unless you suck. But still. This is TERA.

Because we still have some QA tests to run and possible hotfixes to apply, before we can/want to release this update.

Well. You only destroyed launcher. But I think no one expected, that it will work (as always).

Launcher don't download anything even if you turn on all options, restart launcher etc. But if you press fix function, you are f***ed. Launcher starting to download something and after few seconds close itself. Then you will get an error:

So, ofc you press "Ok". After that, launcher opens again for 1s and with msng on red bar:

And you will not be able to run launcher until you don't restard your pc or terminate launcher process. All I was able to download is this:

After restart/terminate you can run launcher and you can see "checking download". You need to login and press stard button before "checking" will be finished because later your play button will be disabled.

There is no lucky/unlycky. It must work for everyone but as always there are some problems.
