At the begin of the event I ran around for 9/10 h and i didn't get any box.The others days i plaied for 3 hours and nothing... i'm not so lucky...
Is there a particular place where i can find the damn boxes?

Not only do these Boxes seldomly spawn but they also only drop shit like Fireworks or Honker Glasses.
Not sure if this is meant to make players happy or frustrated.Well played, Gameforge. Yet another disappointing and disgusting Event.

i really laugh at comments saying "be glad we get something". go keep that spirit up. then they will continue to treat us like this.
cant tell people to riot but a riot of people stopping to pay or/and play would be very healthy for our game for some time. -
I've Been playing since 1pm GMT today, found a total of 3 boxes

I have found that the boxes tend to spawn in areas with mobs, and out of about 150 boxes have only found 1 near a BAM. I have searched many maps and channel, and probably spent over 24 hours in total looking for these boxes. This was my first event in TERA ... and probably my last. I did get the Lioness mount, but I also now have an entire bank tab full of useless fireworks, and another bank tab full of honker glasses and stupid party hats.
For other events I would suggest increasing the spawn rate by a lot, and giving players chances for either high value items (i.e. masterwork alkahest, or semi-enigmatic scrolls), or some sort of credits that could be cashed in for items bound to account (cannot trade, or put in guild bank).
The fireworks are nice, for one or two goes, but I am going to probably vendor all of them now as I need my bank space back. Why create a situation where so many useless items are giving away. In the beginning I thought it was great ... "Oooooh, fireworks, 900g on the broker seems right", and now there are hundreds of them on for 1g.

Ironically, what you suggest is how it was before this event.
The Santa event back in December was exactly right, a lot of spawning and the boxes kept you literally addicted to finding them with all that you could possibly get from them.
Buuut, Tera is F2P now,that by default means that all droprates are lowered, especially in events, after all, money needs to be earned.

Yeah, and nothing is better for business than a bunch of angry and dissappointed customers, who don't want to give you their money because you screwed them over. I really don't understand GF's logic here. There's so much potential with stuff like this and it's almost like they decide they just wanna mess it up.

I heard people got 3 letters out of 30 boxes, got the mount at 70 boxes, someone with 100 already gets his second mount... Well I opened ~80 and got 1 letter. Have to leave town tomorrow, so I guess I'm screwed. Too bad I spent ~11 hours chasing them for nothing. Next time we should just sell it to other people, now I would be filthy rich. =/

Well I am one of those people trying to get a second mount, but ...
I have:
- 208 fireworks
- 33 party hats
- 37 honker masks
- 7 shy emoticon masks
- 6 happy emoticon masks
I have received semi-enigmatic scrolls, masterwork alkahest, etc. etc. but sold it to get more boxes in hopes of getting the final letters.
Now that takes up two full bank slots, and it a waste of time to broker as everything is worth maybe a couple gold each because everyone is flogging what they can.
As for the actual letters required for the lioness I have 4 Ts, 3 Es, and 3 Rs ... where are these mysterious As?
So after 30 odd hours of searching for and buying these boxes I have managed to come away with a lion and two bank tabs full of stuff I will have to vendor off. If I have just sold all the boxes that contained fireworks for 350g each, I would have had over 100k gold now. So I guess after selling the lioness I would basically break even.

Never underestimate the willingness to buy.
Even most of those claiming they won't ever give GF money again will find themselves spending money again to get something they want, I've seen in other games that have the typical ''locked box that needs a cash shop key to open'' that usually, those are the best selling items despite most of the community bitching about them, especially if the boxes contain highly sought after prizes, which isn't really the case here in TERA.
Imagine if those boxes contained costumes obtainably only through these boxes, or hell, the maid outfits, the sales of the strongbox keys would skyrocket.
Also, always remember, the people screaming the hardest on the forum are always the minority, most of an MMO's player base never even visits the forum.
MMO publishers/devs don't look at the screaming angry forum users to decide whether or not a ''lockbox'' so to call it is successful, they look at statistics, how many keys are bought on a daily basis, how many of these boxes are opened, same with the Elin box and the previous limited edition Easter box.

Did they lower the spawnrate again?
I used to find 2-3 boxes in every channel in the areas I was looking.
Now today I can't find any at all in any area.. Its like the spawnrate is the same again as in the beginning. =/ -
I spended 3 days for farming them I got something 200 boxes! And I got <T> <E> and <R> which was quite nice. Then I though that I just need to buy 10-20 boxes form broker 500 each to get that A.. Okay and now I have spent 93k for gifts and no A so im quiting now. Come on I opened about 500 boxes today and no A letter. Only fireworks, party hats and honkers.

I can't really understand the objective of making this kind of events.
The only ones with any real chance of getting stuff are the ones with gold to spend on tons of boxes.It ends up being an event where the lower level characters farm the wilds for boxes to sell to the maxed out rich players for them to get a SLIM chance at getting something reasonable for their gold.
It makes no sense at all! This kind of celebrations should be good for everyone, easy to get good (or at least pretty) rewards and have the same chance for all level spams!
The way it is now, it's an "easy" (if you call easy finding these #### boxes ) way for low level players to get money from the ones with enough to spare...

Stats-wise I cannot tell you exactly what I have had that was decent on the broker. Also I am on Arcadia which seems to be a cheap server, e.g. the lioness mount sells for 350k on another server, but no one will buy it for 160k on Arcadia.
So I would guess I got (and about how much they are going for on broker):
6 semi-enigmatic scrolls -> started selling off at 5500g, down to 2500g
50 masterwork alkahest -> 180g each
50 extensive alkahest -> 400g, down to 230g
5 fiery shades -> 400g, then down to 200gThat is what I remember.
In the end trying to find the As is painfully difficult. I also haven't found a good farming spot, although as said before I never see them spawn near BAMs.
Spawn rates are great around 00:00 to 04:00 in the morning, I have picked up around 20 in 10 minutes before, but after that I am lucky if I find 2 in half an hour.

When is this event finishing? First entry says the 21st, does that mean midnight at the end of the 21st? Some people said that the event has been extended.
