TERA's 1 Year Anniversary!

    On the 3rd of May 2013, TERA will celebrate its first birthday in Europe. A lot has happened since the initial release, including a change of the business model, welcoming a massive number of new players and opening 8 new servers around the F2P launch this year and of course a lot of new content was introduced throughout this year.



    Exciting times are coming up for TERA, as we’ll be introducing a new raid dungeon in May and already preparing for the next big thing, the new 20 vs. 20 battleground including siege weapons!
    A birthday wouldn’t be a birthday without gifts and a lot of different activities, so we’ve prepared a month full of both of those for you:


    • Birthday Item Package for everyone
      We’ll send out a newsletter to all players including a code for an item package for the 1 year anniversary of TERA. You can look forward to celebrating the anniversary with scene-setting fireworks and other items.
    • Increased drop rate in dungeons
      The 3rd of May 2013 marks the 1 year anniversary, so we’ll use this day to launch an increased drop rate event on Friday, 3rd of May 2013. The event will last until Tuesday, 7th of May 2013*. During this time you’ll be able to grab more drops than usual in all instanced dungeons, except Manaya’s Core (Normal & Hard Mode).
    • Patch 19.04.05 including the new raid dungeon (10 & 20 player version)
      This patch is scheduled to be applied on the 16th of May 2013*. The highlight of this patch is, without a doubt, the new raid dungeon which will be available as 10 and 20 player versions for all max level characters.
    • Special in-game event & chance to win a permanent mount for your character!
      Even more rewards are waiting for you if you participate in the new in-game event. From 16th of May 2013 until 21st of May 2013*, you’ll be able to find boxes all over the world in TERA. If you open those chests, you can get your hands on Spellbinds, Masterwork Alkahests, Master Enigmatic Scrolls, permanent masks and hats and much more. You can also get fireworks with different letters. If you manage to find the letters T, E, R and A and combine those, you’ll get yourself a permanent mount (Tawny Huntress) for free!
    • Loading Screen Contest
      A pretty unique contest will be made available at the end of our anniversary month. Everyone will have the chance to create some images and artworks, the winners can look forward to seeing their images getting used as a loading screen in TERA with a future update! Besides your picture getting featured in the game, you’ll also get some additional rewards from us as a bonus.


    We’ll also have great new items and promotions available for our in-game shop in TERA throughout the month! Different costumes, like swimsuits, maid outfits for Elins and others outfits will be made available in our anniversary month!

    nice, tho i would have liked players who played for year get special mount better.

    That's really nice, I guess. Hopefully, the chests will spawn quite often and reward players well, too; a good injection of alkahests/spellbinds and MW scrolls would help to reduce the overwhelming prices a bit. Too bad you didn't decided to include Manaya's Core into the increased dungeon drop rate table; it would help to reduce the prices of regent gear, as well.


    I'm really looking forward to everything, including the upcoming cash shop updates. Hopefully, I'l finallyl get my hands on those maid outfits :)

    Well it's nice to see there will be an injection of much needed items so prices will go down and people have a chance to stock up again. Double droprates are cool but why MCnm at least wasn't included i do not know. I can kind of understand MChm because that is still sort of exclusive to a select few who are farming quills for the best gear and that shouldn't be made super easy because it destroys challenge.


    Some much needed costumes to brighten up the Tera EU world are also very welcome.


    And also looking forward to another content patch too. An excuse for a great number of our guild to get together in a raid again will be fun since everyone got tired of nexus since it's like every single day now XD.

    Ye could u maybe tell us when The Droprate Increasing is applying we just did kelsaik normal mode 3man run 3x and we got always between 4 and 6 MES and 6-8 mwa


    thats the normal droprate with a rookie buff ( and when that Dropratebuff comes works only on endbosses or also on other like the first 3 Minibosses in LoT? )

    Yes, same here, tried LOT and didn't see any difference in the drop, only 3 scrools (like usual).

    Kelsaik Normal :


    normal drop rate is 2-3 scrolls
    Newbie buff gives 3-5 scrolls


    today no newbie buff 3 scrolls.


    Fane of Kaprima hard mode :


    Sure not increased 112th time i run i know the drops out of my head.


    LoT : Same as normal.

    last night. or this morning a guildm8 got 400tt birthday gift he said. Did any1 else got his bday gifts? cuz I didn't :s

    Smalle example:
    Double loot=/= double drop rate


    Double loot gives same items x2
    Double Drop Rate gives you higher chance to drop certain item but ammount is the same.
    If kelsaik is set to drop 3 mes, it will still drop 3! You will just get better chance to drop 3 mes.


    If you had luck at farming lot 3 first mini boss, and got 6-9 mw alk per run, you will not feel the difference. Because you will get only better chance on looting mw alk, not geting it more! But also remember, chance for refined alk also goes up!


    So if you want to get something from double drop RATE, aim for item that are rare drops...Example: VM reciepe.

    Yes, but last 2 times they put a drop rate event, it was : Double loot table, that mean 2 times mores items, and not 2 times more chance to drop items.


    Maybe this time it's not same then event in past.
