Got a brand new Fansite interview here! This time we asked TERA Portal.cz all about their site, make sure you read it!
How long has TERA Portal TERA existed and how did it form? What gave you the idea to create this fansite?
Petronom:TeraPortal.cz was launched 19th March 2010. This, however, was preceded by several weeks of preparation. Do you know the YouTube feature – “Recommended for You”? It recommends videos that you might like. There was a CBT video of the Pegasus travel (from Island of Dawn to Velika). I said only one word:"Wau!" But I didn't find anything in Czech/Slovakia websites. So I started a Fansite.
After several weeks MaloHp joined; first as a moderator then as a translator. I've known him for twelve years, so the cooperation was fine. Then joined Arach, an active member in TeraPortal's community. Today he is a great moderator and corrector.
MaloHp: TeraPortal has been active since 19. March 2010. I heard about TERA from my friend Petronom and I wanted to help him with translations and community work.
What can visitors expect to find at the TERA Portal website?
Petronom: Our goal since the beginning is to provide our visitors so much information found across the globe for our communtiy. So they can find Lore, Videos (with subtitles), Screenshots, latest information etc.
MaloHp: You can find loads of translations (lore, interviews etc.), videos, screenshots as well as a nice and friendly community. We say that the content of TeraPortal is everything you should know, all in one place.
How did you first come to hear about TERA?
Petronom: From recommended YouTube video.
MaloHp: From my friend Petronom. As a next step I saw some videos 
Arach:I learnt about TERA from YouTube. I searched for a new MMO because I was tired of endlessly playing WoW.
What was it about TERA that got you interested in the game?
Petronom:Non-target system, Fey Forest (I want a picnic below these amazing trees) and graphics. In this game, the graphics there is a relationship between “reality” and “game” – it’s really awesome!
MaloHp: I was amazed by the graphics and the action combat system.
How old are you and what do you do alongside working on TERA Portal?
Petronom:I'm 18 years old and I’m student. I'm big fan of Lineage II and Poporis.
MaloHp: I am 18 years old. Alongside? I study at a grammar school for my last year and I'm interested in gaming, anime and politics.
Arach: I'm 20 years old and alongside working on TeraPortal.cz I'm student.
Is there a story behind your usernames?
Petronom: My name is Petr, so from that.
MaloHp: Ah, that is long story 
In the beginning (5 years ago), I was playing Counter Strike (1.6 of course). We were playing a lot and I had no nickname. I had just started and I was terrible player 
So I decided to use MaloHp as a nickname (it means something like FewHealthPoints) and since then it has stuck
What MMOs have you played before or do you still play actively?
Petronom:I played Lineage II and Aion, but Aion only for few months. It took only one video from the world of TERA to kill my MMO's "career". So I'm currently not playing any MMOs.
MaloHp: My first MMO was Flyff. I loved it, it’s a manga-style MMO. I played Lineage (since C4), Aion and WoW. Nowadays I'm waiting for TERA 
Arach: I played games like a World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Lineage, Guild Wars, Ragnarok, the Age of Conan ...
What do you expect from Frogster in the near future? What could they do to make you happy as an active community member?
Petronom:In near future (maybe little farther future) I’m looking forward to a European Open Beta Test. And what could they do to make me happy? Currently, I'm happy
MaloHp: I think; remake of TERA-EU menu (I don't like that red rectangle) is a good idea. I hope that Frogster will take good care of TERA (fansites and community as well :P) for a long time.
Arach: Open Beta Test + key
Describe yourself for us – only using adjectives
Petronom: Diplomatic, persistent, careful, thorough.
MaloHp: I hate this, but ok... stubborn, funny, friendly, very extrovert, open minded.
Arach: Young, beautiful, playful.
What would your main character’s race and class be and is there a reason why?
Petronom:TERA have so many amazing classes, so I'm not sure. But race wise it'll be probably Popori or High Elf.
MaloHp: I'm thinking about Mystic (I don't know which race). Mystic because you can do the best for your friends as well as annoying the enemy.
Arach: Elin Archer - luxury design, exciting and engaging skills and of course small and dangerous.
What do you think of TERA’s action orientated gameplay combined with MMORPG features?
Petronom:It'll be one hell of an adventure.
MaloHp: Is awesome idea and I'm thankful for it!
If you were the Exarch in a real life TERA world, what would be the first thing you would do?
Petronom:Sit on the throne.
MaloHp: It depends on situation. I would do my best for people. I would increase amount of creatures (in the beginning there is a lot of players) and I would ride that special Exarch mount!:D
Arach: I'll establish taxes!
What do you like about MMOs? PvP, PvE, raids, crafting, chatting etc.?
Petronom: MMO is about people, so party PvP and raids.
MaloHp: I like PvP and raids.
Arach: Player vs. Player. Fights, where small groups can show their skills and abilities.
TERA is great because…
Petronom: …it found happy medium between reality and game when it comes to graphics
MaloHp: …you can't eat while playing and you have to use brain in PvE as well as PvP.
Arach: I said so.
What makes the TERA community stand out from the rest?
Petronom:It's the biggest liberal group of people I ever seen in MMO. They (we) don't care if you played WoW, Aion, AoC etc. Just come and play with us in this amazing game.
Arach: My presence 
What TERA feature are you most looking forward to?
Petronom:Good political system. I like politics, intrigue, contracts, etc..
MaloHp: I'm looking forward to action combat. It is an absolutely new feature in an MMO for me.
Arach: I'm looking forward to the non target system and the open world.
Any closing remarks?
We are looking forward for the biggest game event of 2011. And remember:"TeraPortal.cz is not just a portal, we are a community."
