TESTED FPS Fix

    Heh same to me but not from yesterday but today from morning, so from playbale game become deletable. Tried reinstaling drivers evrything same low fps. So cheked under nvidia setting , Manage 3D settings--> Program settings -->tera---> graphics processor---> INTEGRATED GRAPHICS (wow) and there is no other option for to choose to GT540m. Tried other game my nvidia works fine. So dont know why tera switched to integrated graphics QQ.

    uninstall all video drivers, reboot, install the driver for the integrated gpu and then nvidia driver and reboot.check device manager to see if there are no errors there.then go manage 3d settings and set it on high nvidia processor, then go to physix also and set it on gt 540.


    seems like your drivers got messed up.

    Aye put it back to the way it was. just pointing out incase any other AMD cpu users have the same thing.


    Yeah tried the rest aswell but it didn't make any difference for me.


    There is some dude in NA that made a really good post which involves changing some of the ini settings.


    I have seen some changes before but this guy had some very different ones and it really did make a difference.

    This helped so much, damn....
    Went from super populated Zulfikar with 10-15fps to 20-35fps.
    Nexus from 4fps to 10fps xD (200 or more people).
    Doing BAMs with no people around from 25-35fps to 50-70fps.
    Normal populated cities from 20-35fps to 40-60fps.
    Character screen from 60~fps to 100+fps
    It's just been doubled in all ways :P

    P.S.: My comp is about 5-6 years old, but still runs all games, just added a new video card.

    Edit: Only thing that annoys me is that you can't go fullscreen windowed properly (so I can alt-tab normally instead of alt/esc alt+tab), any way to fix this?

    unclear why nvidia drivers got corrupt, but good thing you managed to solve it eventually.


    Glad it worked.About the fullscreen mode, I can use alt/tab just fine in fullscreen, aswell as in windowed mode, I didnt make any changes to this setting, I only changed graphic engine parameters.Not sure whats the deal in your case.

    With your graphic cards, at preset 4 without changing anything you should got yourself same FPS, or 1-5 lower.
    I have found out my problem for low fps (I`m using GT 555M gddr5) is after installed .net framework 3.5. I`m sure about this because I keep track of installed programs by me (all by computers are disabled, and I have put Deep freeze in case computer try to do something on it own) but yeah, after .Net Framework my gpu usage normally was 99 and jumps up and down is now only working between 50-70, which causes fps drops with 5-25 upon moving and action, and below 10 in dungeon... A dumb thing to happen. Even removing .net framework, it won't recover to old state anymore.

    very interesting, it seems it has to do something with specific libraries.These libs might influence the way the game client behaves under some circumstances.Maybe GF should take a look at this to verify.

    OK this is quite ackward :


    - just logged in the game and I was getting 6 FPS just by riding my horse ^^ lol.I reinstalled 310.90 driver.Problem solved.Don`t know what really happened but at least one myth is busted.Tera works fine with new drivers aswell as with old ones.


    It seems it`s more of a registry/libraries issue and apparently installing old driver 296.16 or any under 300.xx/uninstalling and installing 310.90 driver again DID something and fixed the issue.Ackward but it might be an answer for those of you which didn`t get so lucky with the guide initially.


    Also found a problem with my ini file.It seems it gets blocked for some users due to zone protection policy in windows.


    So instead of overwriting my ini file over original one, you should overwrite the contents from my ini file into the original one (copy/paste text basically).

    Problems back again ^^.Nevertheless, I finally pinned down the issue.It`s the damn nVIDIA drivers, for some reason it screwed the profiling for Tera.exe, although I didn`t use anything but global settings.It just deactivates the nVIDIA card and switches to the integrated one without having the option to enable the nVIDIA card for the game.


    GUIDE UPDATED > should fix the problem for at least all nVIDIA users (especially those of you who have had bad luck with the guide)

    Dude i had decent FPS like 20-35 in town and 40-70 in open areas but i used that thing for unpark cores and whole game and fps fcked up :S any idea what now ? I see only grey npc and ppl :/ before everythink loaded instantly... got ATI
