You don't have to lower the graphics at all to get better FPS.
If that exe file does what it says it does, you should be able to get better FPS out of that.

Agreed. Unreal engine wasn't made for open world games. I guess that is also why we have loadings when teleporting on pegasus.
ohhh really?

Correction, it is a possible choice for mmo's as well, but not in the kind of way it was used in TERA. Team Bloodlust actually used UE3 very well, knowing both the engine's possibilities and limitations. CBT made me sure of it and I was actually amazed both with the quality of graphics and high performance of the game itself. You don't need a powerhouse to enjoy B&S.
Honestly, I doubt BHS will ever fix those issues. As Anon stated, it lies both in the construction of the game itself, horrible optimization and limitations imposed by our current systems. The game would propably have to be rewritten from scratch in many different parts.

It's not a loading screen guys, so stop calling it like that. While you fly through the dimensional rift, the game simply reloads the area and corresponding textures/meshes; it needs to do so, because the change is instant, it takes time for everything to load; otherwise you would get a massive lagspike. When you walk/ride the engine has enough time to load everything before you'll get there. It's also a countermeasure against loading lags for older machines with much weaker specs and less memory.
Which is loading screen. And i was posting my idea before how to make pegasus to fly without loading screen and be still same fast and also without problems for the engine to load things up on the way. Will not post it again because it's worthless. It wasn't listened before, it won't be listened now.

I have noticed if you have asus gamer osd installed uninstall it. It was the reason for my 5seconds freeze sometimes ingame. I just had it installed not ever touched it so i uninstalled it and the freeze was gone.
-
yes.the asus OSD is a known issue.I never used it before anyway.
-
thread updated.cleaned it a bit to make it more readable and thus easier to follow.

it helped man

The CPU thing did help I think (maybe 5-10 more fps).

I followed all the steps in this guide, but still I'm playing with horrible FPS, 25 in open areas and 5-15 in Dungeons or BAMs.
I saw that TERA is only using about 1GB of my memory, thats not a lot
I'm using Windows 8 64 bit, got 8GB Memory, i7 Intel Core with 2.4GHz up to 3.4GHz boostable and a Nvidia Geforce GT 650M 2GB grafic card.
I think with this hardware the game should run with way more FPS, but I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Could there be any other solutions?
I got a very bad internet conection, but this should be no matter for bad FPS, am I right?
Thanks. -
