Voice of the Community: Questing

  • My stupid views on quests:

    1) Killing - I'll do, but usually get bored fast.
    2) Messenger - Annoys me as I have to waste time running when I could be killing stuff.
    3) Scout - Annoys me as I have to waste time running when I could be killing stuff.
    4) Spy - Annoys me as I'd rather just zerge my way in.
    5) Riddle - I'm too stupid for riddles so skip or search the web for the answers (which also annoys me as its wasting time I could be killing stuff.

Basically I can never win when it comes to quests - if I'm killing stuff for a while I'm bored, if I'm doing anything else I'm annoyed as I'm wasting time I could be killing stuff (oh and I usually get lost or confused). Wherever possible I choose to do instances...exp without the boredom of grinding or the confusion of questing.

  • Oh, riddle quests sounds just like my kind of quests. All the other activities listed is something I can do on my own without following the set frames of a quest..

  • An idea for a quest.
You have to avoid natural obsticals that can cause death. Think as indiana Jones as possible. Like getting through a part of terrain without dying... that kinda stuff.

Also i would like to see quests that involve flying. Maybe even a race. Go through X number of hoops on your mount before the timer goes out. Make it hard! =D

  • its such a shame that you made it only possible to pick 1 and not as many as you need.... my perfect quest would be kill everything, get plans, save prisoners and then get trapped in a dungeon that you need to solve a riddle to escape.... all in 1 long quest line.... kinda like the pop up qs they have done in wow recently....

Good point, do they have quest chains and boss pre-quests (attonements) ???

    Agree, best option IMO :D

  • I quite like the idea of an Indiana Jones type quest where you need to avoid fatal terrain/obstacles/moving obstacles.

  • I also love the idea of more interactive gameplay where you would have to survive against the environment by dodging things, Indiana Jones style, good suggestions! xD

  • I wonder, will they (Frogster or any other company representing TERA) do smth. about the quests, or is it just a type of questions to kill the time while waiting and keep the discussion going?

i think in general Frogster have acknowledged a lot of what is being said on the forums. As soon as they post a thank you note on here people will see.

Maybe they should do a "Design a quest" competition, winner gets the quest in game =) !!

Just to clarify, your votes and opinions are taken into consideration and Bluehole is fully aware of the "Voice of the Community" series. The Voice of the Community, as you have hopefully guessed, is a means for the community to let us know what they want to see, with the absolute intention of it being reported back to Bluehole, so they can consider ideas generated by you, the community.
