    • Please stop destroying Tera @Gameforge

      Hi

At the outset, i would like to say that i'm not frequent forum member i rarely use to be here my english also isn't good so i really apologize for any mistake made in this thread. I was thinking for really long time now about creating this thread and i decided to do it so let's straight it up to the point.

I started playing Tera since 2012 i've stopped at the end of 2013 or early 2014 i was working mostly during this time and i come back few months ago. When i saw the state i just broke down... i will say it at the very beginning this isn't the same Tera what i've started playing.

Just what happend to the Island of a Dawn? to the crafting & enchanting system? to the campfires, charms and the potions? to TOT, LOTHM, ETHM, BTHM,COF, KN10-KN20 to the Nexus etc? What happend to Dungeons and its mechanics? Why It get nerfed?.... pvp is joke with all these new classes... yet awakening coming soon  Tera combat doesn't need enhancers! stop it, just stop destroying your game!

I experience this Circus on the Wheels not just in Tera but many games nowadays where im seeing such stupid things like changed mechanics, grind fest, nerfed content to the noob level, rng and p2w etc etc etc. We already have plenty of noobs running in Stormcry.

I don't know who is responsible and come up with ideas like these? Someone who create such stupid things should be fired immediately and ashamed because such method is doomed to a big failure on the start. Each of the games i were playing before was a good games, now they all are ghost towns near to be closed. Developers you need open eyes and notice that ''such methods'' of gaining resources to develop the games is very evil! Normal and experienced players who use to love your game and the skill don't like such stupid methods which u introduce to the game and leaves that's how it looks like and how you kill your game.

I generally think not just about quitting Tera , but to actually stop playing F2P MMO games at all since now almost every F2P i see is paywalled and mean to me nothing more than P2W with a plenty of noobs running in best armor unfortuantely. You can't call the game an actual ''game'' where you pay to actually improve your stats. If I wanted to play game machine then I would go to the casino.

I am really dissapointed to seeing Tera like this now and what it has become over the years and where its heading. I used to love that game so much.

Mostly all mmorpgs, not just f2p unfortunately
    • Gameforge only publishes the crap Bluehole Studios sends them, aim your criticism towards them.

Anyway. I personally prefer the current dungeon style, and I think that new enchanting system is much better than the one we had before. Also, the removal of stamina was the best change since launch, in my opinion.

    • Hi,

I didn't really read the whole text but i guess it's easy to see what's your issue there, just by looking at the title.
Like i often say, if you're an actual returning player my best advice to you is just to not play TERA again and find another game.

You don't need to give up on MMO's at all, there is still some pretty decent ones, which will at worst make you pay a monthly subscription for it (WoW? SWTOR...) which is around 15 ish euros, or make you buy the game itself or an extension if needed (Again WoW? GW2...), you also have the very grindy ones like BDO for exemple, but i think you can play BDO without spending any cash, at least that's what i think but i'm not entirely sure.

TERA is in ruins because of GameForge's business model, which will get you anywhere you want (allowed to use 3rd party stuff that shouldn't be allowed, getting help from the staff during non official events you organise, get unbanned or simply avoid bans) as a player if you spend a certain amount of money on the game. And that's not just your average player spending 12ish euros a month for TERA Club, no here i'm talking about people spending hundreds. You don't wanna play on a game published by a corrupted company, do you?

At the end of the day you're free to do what you want, but i think you realised by yourself how bad the state of the game is. And here i'm just speaking about GameForge. The content itself, which is managed by BHS for the biggest part, is also a joke for both PvE and PvP. As for the community, well... I won't say that the community is a reason to stop playing the game, but it definitely crossed new lines in terms of retardation etc...

Whatever decision you make, i wish you good luck.

In casino you give them money but you can win something of value, but gameforge provides you with something better! You give them money and they don't give you anything of value :D.

Just quit the game. Most older people did it. Those who stay after playing more then 5 years are terrified to lose farmed gold and items i guess. I've spent plenty of time ingame but i don't like being a slave to a game that is purposely being destroyed just to milk as much money as possible. Well i do understand that is what business (more like greed nowadays) is so can't really blame anyone.

Well if you ever find a game where publisher will actually love the game they provide please contact me with some information :D.

Yes, also contact me if you find such game :D
My YouTube channel (Inactive :elin25: )
For forum: (1)I don't PvP nor I refer to PvP unless I specify differently(2)I don't aim to the best gear nor I plan to challenge the hardest instances in the game, I'm a relaxed player, get it?

ArenaNat, which is developping Guild Wars 2. For the time i played GW2 i never got disapointed by any of the updates they made, i didn't hesitate spending a little bit of money on the game, because in my opinion they deserved it. You might find some people complaining left and right, but hey that's on every game. There isn't a majority of people complaining on GW2, like it's happening on TERA. One of the big advantages of GW2 is that there is no other company publishing the game, ArenaNet manages everything. So you don't get greedy companies like GameForge taking over and just going full retard with their business model.

I think the companies behind BDO are also pretty competent. From the little bit of feedback i heard, people seemed to be somewhat satisfied.

You're right, BDO is a very grindy game, but also just doing afk stuff like cooking/alchemy/processing different materials brings you the same income/h as grinding would, which is what's nice about it.
    • What do you mean 300 add ons? You don't need a shitload of add ons to play video games, god damn it. For GW2 there is a couple of websites providing more than enough help, including a whole wikipedia about the game and some other stuff like a website that allows you to set up an "alarm clock" or something like that with world bosses spawn timers, and it's entirely legit.

As for the people complaining about TERA, i didn't say "Forum only". There is more than enough complaints in the various in game chats + people complaining in chats you can't see like guild chats, Discord and whatnot... Soooo.

Because to me wow looks pathethic and moving system/mechanic with camera is terrible in my opinion so yeah i don't play it becuase i can't move as i wish and i cant customize the UI without add ons. My friend was playing the game on some private server and i downloaded the game to try. 300 was exeggaration ofcourse but if i remember correctly i think friend said to install around 3-5. I'll be honest here i don't like wow at all it just doesn't suit my style of combat, moving, crafting, collecting and so on.

      but... the combat system...

now you can stone me XD
Why would you get stoned? Some people just can't understand every player has it's own preferances. For me i do like this combat system the most because you actually need to aim yourself where you go so it makes it more amusing (i dislike auto targeting system in games whatever game it is i just don't like it). Also i would like the combat system that has screen locked and only gives vision of your eye field that would be OP  so you can't watch behind you if you don't turn and stuff like that :D.

Sounds like The Elder Scrolls singleplayer. Too bad TESO is different.

      You missed the
time before 2012 missed where in tera many players were on the one hand
gameforge has broken the game but do not forget it Bluehole.

I have heard of a higher ex-employee times that Gameforge before 2011 even treated his staff very well :)

But Tera has severely run down from gameplay via itemshop.
Do not forget, as with all F2P, it's just not fun: P
Bluehole did not do any more for the Poporis either, so you had to send a poporis on pension and have fun with Elins: D
