Warrior Tank

    • These are the glyphs I use right now. Normally I would use the lingering Traverse Cut glyph but since it's bugged right now I use the cd glyph on DfA.

Naturally I'm not saying this glyph build is perfect. There is probably room for improvement. :)

    • I´m tanking fine with a mix of mitigation and cross parry. Mitigation only with Torrent though, everything else is just too bad.

The only real issue is to learn the most important attacks from every boss and when to parry/dodge them, you have to be way more sensitive here than at other tanks.

This is one of the best builds for tanking. You have to understand that tanking does NOT require getting as much aggro % as possible - instead it´s also still very dependable on DPS chains and strong damage. Thus on tanking it´s more about using dstance and using some different skills like Torrent and Crossparry - if they are needed - in between your DPS rotations.

Dstance, Torrent and Charging provide enough additional aggro generation, you don´t have to upgrade them for more aggro or use any other aggro generation tool or cryst. Besides those 3, just use your DPS rotations and use Torrent only if needed. Charging is highest priority skill anyway at either offensive or defensive play.

If you use Backstab in midfight, follow up with a roll to return to your position and don´t turn the enemys face to your group members.

Use Crossparry against strong attacks. You don´t have to Crossparry or dodge everything, learn what attacks are crucial to parry/dodge and when, this comes with time. You will try parry much at the beginning but the less you have to parry or dodge, the more damage you can do and aggro you get. But if you are not sure, better parry one more instead of getting killed by a chance.

Tanking get´s a lot easier if you know the boss you are facing and what attacks you have to parry/dodge and which you can just eat and pot away. Obviously this also depends on your gear but there are bosses later on with fixed % damage attacks or some which can kill you almost instantly if you don´t parry or dodge them.

You have to exchange all your back crit crystals to pounding for tanking though. So basically 1 focused and 3 pounding for tanking.

Forgot about this one, ye this is better than Pounding if you are really purely tanking. So Focused Wrathful Pounding Pounding. Crit should be done with accessoires to cap.
The thing is that the carving one has a somewhat bugged interaction with Scythe, For Scythe it increases the crit chance by 15%. You can save a bit of crit therefore and getmore power which easily trumps the few percent of a pounding crystal.

    • Using carving crystal allows you to go down to +155 crit with Mystic and put the rest in power gear. The resulting crit modifier with Mystic is enough for current bosses (except raid) in this patch.

Double/Triple pounding makes eventually sense for Lancers....
